  1. I'm sorry it hurt you, but instead of using that as a reminder of her death, consider it a reminder of her life! She communicated with you and her friends that way. It was a way of staying connected. Remember the funny things she posted, the pictures she shared, the positive support she sent to you and others. Look at it and remember her with a smile. And if the tears are there, shed them. You miss her, and that is okay, too.
  2. Check out the theater! It might be a good idea. http://www.dallastheater-civiccenter.com/rentalsbookings.html
  3. Check out this site: http://www.acworth.org/aprd/Parks.html Cauble Park has the beach house for the reception, and the chapel for the wedding.
  4. What kind of budget do you have to work with? When Casey and Catherine were looking, a lot of these places were WAY out of their budget.
  5. Does it have to be here? The place we went on vacation does weddings in their chapel, they have a huge banquet hall, and the rental on the cottages is VERY affordable. It is in Florida though, not on the ocean, but on a river. As for pretty locations, I have pastures, but they aren't very pretty.
  6. The video had me bawling like a baby when I saw it a few months ago. Great song. He is very talented.
  7. Consider going to the Crystal River and seeing the Manatees. You aren't too far from there.
  8. We just stayed in Florida at Steinhatchee Landing Resort. Check it out! Beautiful places to stay, limited dining out options, lots of fishing opportunities. Look at the 50% off option. You can stay there VERY cheaply, and it is relaxing and beautiful. To give you an idea, 4 adults went. We stayed in a very nice cottage with 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, and amenities, PLUS a full day of deep sea fishing (can cost $800 by itself) for just the 4 of us and the captain for less than $900. If you don't want to go fishing, you can get it for a lot less. FYI: It is on the river, not on the be
  9. Dang! My daughter is a theater minor who plays the drums, but I think she won't make it here from Mercer for any rehearsals.
  10. It's just that danged ol' alligator in the sewer!
  11. Probably nothing to worry about. They may treat just as a precaution. When I was small, we found 2 wild foxes and kept them for a while. I was often scratched and nipped by them, as was other family members, but we never got rabies from them. They ended up at the Atlanta Zoo. As long as the animal was acting fairly normally, then it isn't a major concern. Safety and precaution issue, yes, but nothing to stress over too much. It doesn't sound like the animal was crazed and out to attack anyone in its path, just nosy and got spooked.
  12. My DIL had a pink Honda. Notice I said "HAD". Someone managed to NOT see it and rear-ended her at a red light a few years back. How do you not notice a PINK car? My son had done all the work on it, so it was as hard on him as it was on her.
  13. So young! Prayers sent to the family and friends.
  14. Congratulations!!!!! Awesome honor.
  15. I've seen this happen more than once when someone reaches that point. I believe! One of the most amazing was when my grandmother was dying. She hadn't been able to speak in several days at all. Around 2pm on April 19th, 1995, my uncle was killed in a car accident on the way back to the hospital where my grandmother was dying. He had gone home just to clean up and change clothes. A wrong way driver on the interstate hit him. My uncle drove a Toyota, the other driver was in a one ton pick up. Our family was devastated. We had prepared ourselves for losing my grandmother, and this came out of lef
  16. I have the Droid phone through Verizon. I love it! It has a lot of power and tricks. I can only assume this phone will, too, since it is Android based.
  17. Back before they put houses on the land next to us, we had a deer hunter who hung his deer stand so close to our house that I could see him completely! That side of our log house is covered with bullet holes from those days. The first year they were there, my dog got shot. The guy hanging in the tree right over the line complained to my husband because I put out speakers and put on a sermon about men not spending enough time with their wives. My husband told him I could do whatever I wanted in my yard. Sometimes I would even go outside and just shoot in the air and yell, "The deer are gon
  18. My daughter is a drummer in an all girl punk band, and the bass player lives with us, too. You can imagine the noise coming from my house! But, I don't live in a subdivision, so they can BITE ME! Of course, that is much easier to say since my daughter goes to school in Macon now, so practice is rare now. lol! I think some people are incredibly STUPID, since this was during the daytime. I know one crazy lady who called the cops on an 10yo girl for playing a radio and singing in her driveway. She thought she was being too loud. I told her to get a grip! The kid was just being a kid! I hate t
  19. My son used to race BMX. We spent over $1000 on his race bike. I couldn't believe it either! We made him start out on one he paid 1/2 of, and it cost $250. When he kept winning and moving up, we bit the bullet and bought him the new one. I learned a lot about bikes then. lol! As for the bike store, I see them losing business, and those lovely employees becoming unemployed. All because of their attitude.
  20. What happened to the incident reports they used to run on here? It would be there.
