  2. Oh no! I loved her! She reminded me of my mother in a lot of her roles. Always cracked me up.

    So!

Nah. I got your point, but I still think cheating is cheating no matter what the reason behind it. I fully believe people should be free to be who they are. And I think only small minded people with no idea about the real meaning of life and our existence on this planet consider those personal choices a big issue. I have debated this issue with my more moral high horse friends. Usually the ones who scream the most about it are the ones who have broken most of the top 10 sins. My favorite is the one who condemns all the sinners in the world, which apparently includes me for doing paranorma
  4. I bargain hunt for most things. And I will not buy something at the grocery store if I think the price is too much. My husband needed a new cell phone because he lost his while out fishing. I made a few calls and ended up with a new one for free from a family member. And today, I broke down and ordered a network media player thingie. I am going to go with Netflix and Hulu and get rid of DirecTV. Should save me about $60-$70 a month. More if you count movies on Pay Per View, which I seldom (maybe 3 or 4 times a year) do. And I bargain shopped it. I checked the reviews of all of them, and the fe

    So!

If they are married, they are still cheating! I don't care who does what with whom, as long as they are all adults and aren't doing anything that would hurt someone physically or emotionally. Well, if they like the physical hurting thing, then I guess that is okay, too. But, you catch my drift.
  6. If the company is NCO Financial, it is a fraud and scam thing. I mistakenly paid the first time they harassed me even though I knew they were wrong. I thought maybe I had missed something. Then they started again! Always a recording to call them back and they never even ask for a person. http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/nco-financial-systems-c4185.html
  7. It works great! PS: I booked a party by commenting on a TV show website. lol!
  8. Maybe you do. But you do not claim to do so. If you claim to have these credentials and do not, then you are a liar. I do not claim to hold those credentials. But I do know how the child protective services work. And I have worked in cases where these situations have come into play regarding criminal charges. So, I am not uneducated in this area either. You are not the Mighty Word of the Law. You are one person with a what I perceive to be a warped and lazy view of the role of a law enforcement officer. Not based just on this case, but on the ones you always seem to rant "NOT MY JOB" in. No, I
  9. I love Rhapsody. It is one flat fee a month for unlimited songs. And you can have 3 computers and 3 devices on one account. Me and my DIL are using them on our iPods. And my daughter uses it on her mp3 players. PS, you do have to pay extra to download them to burn CDs. We just use our players.
  10. Apparently someone believes he is a slackard. Interesting. I have worked in child welfare for years. And this can and does OFTEN lead to an arrest. It is the discretion of the officer. Some see it differently than others. Some feel it may have been minor. Some believe that a person ever striking another person in anger is an offense. Some feel that foul language in front of children is an offense. And some would just not want to bother with the paperwork. Whatever your conscious feels you can live with. I do believe that if a good officer had been called out on this, with both parents in
  11. Spanking someone else's child is a big no-no. Even with permission from a parent, it can become a legally gray area. And I know of cases where using foul language in front of a child has led to charges of child abuse. This person used foul language and touched a child without permission. I see major issues. And just because a slackard officer wouldn't arrest him doesn't mean that a good officer wouldn't have a problem hauling him in. Now, I didn't see the incident. And some parents sugarcoat their child's true behaviors. Trusting this parent is not doing that. But, if she is, she is in for
  12. Anyone hear what is going on? I was about to leave to get groceries and several rescue squads went flying by.
  13. School may already be out there. Call the cops. Call DFCS. And send them BOTH all the info you have. If they do nothing, then they need their asses kicked. But if you do nothing, you have to live with yourself knowing you left a child in that situation and did nothing. I have had times I have reported things to DFCS and it blew up in my face. But I had to do it. A child told me she was being molested by her father. She was only 5yo at the time. I told her mother what the child said, and she did nothing. She said she knew what it was about and would talk to the father about it. And they we
  14. Copy and paste. It was the only way I could figure out how to do it.
  15. HEY! As I posted the last message, I got a phone call from my daughter! She is doing great and having a fun. She bought a calling card in Budapest, but couldn't find a phone to work. She finally found one! YAY! She is heading into a museum, so we only got to talk for a second. Now, I have to call my husband and tell him she is safe and sound.
  16. I can't wait to see all the pictures. I haven't heard from her yet. She was not taking a computer, but she was planning to use someone else's for emails and skyping. My husband asked me about 12 times last night if I had heard from her. I kept reminding him it was the middle of the night there. And when I received a text this morning, first thing he asked is if it was her. Hopefully, we will hear from her soon. He's not supposed to be nervous about it. That's my job! And if he is nervous, then I have to be reassuring. Dang it!
  17. Beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman.
  18. She is flying. There are about 12 students and 2 professors on this trip. I am all for her discovering the world. She is getting opportunities I didn't, and I want her to make the most of them. And if she is able to do something positive in that time, even better! Maybe she can get her sweet ol' Momma to go with her next time. OH! And she gets college credit while she is there, too!
  19. PsychoDaughter left yesterday afternoon on the way to her mission trip in Moldova. They are spending a couple days in Budapest, Hungary before heading to Chişinău, Moldova to work in the orphanages. Then to Crimea, Ukraine for a few days. She will be stopping in Istanbul, Turkey on the way home. Stop in NYC for a plane transfer, then back to Georgia. Long, long way from home! But what an experience!
