  1. Put me down for a copy. The title alone is worth the price of the book.
  2. That is what the wife keeps telling me. There is a neighborhood cat that loves to take a nap in front of the dining room window. I think it only does it so it can brag to the other cats about driving out poodle nuts. "Yeh", hee hee hee, "Today I kept him barking and running in circles for two hours just by laying there and twitching my tail every 5 minutes."
  3. Does yelling, "Shut the (blank) up, there is nothing out there!" or "Move! Move! Why are you two always following right behind me!" or "Are you kidding me, the dining room? You just came back in! That's what you went out there for!", count as talking to your dogs?
  4. Well, I was wrong about Ryan going down, but I was right about the depth and the injuries. We started the year in New Orleans the same way we finished last year against the 49's, needed less than 10 yards to win the game, with 4 tries to do it in and not being able to get those 7 or 8 yards. I see maybe one or two more wins, tops. I am not happy to be right all the time, it's a curse.
  5. First, you take care of yourself. Second my thoughts and......for you and your family. I had a friend that had a tumor in that area, I don't know if it was the same thing as yours, but they had to go in and take his out. He is just fine....well, it didn't change him anyway. (he was never really just fine, after all he is a friend of mine) You hang in there young lady!
  6. Our bulldog doesn't have a tail. Maybe that is why she looks so sad all the time.
  7. You want some blues? How about the First Lady of Blues? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P0hG3sD0-E Braggart.
  8. Many last names were decided by what that person did for a living. Apparently someone in our family's past worked as a cook. As far as I know, Cassius Clay' parent's were not slave owners and Cassius, was not their slave. Hey, it's his name, he can change it to John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt for all I care.
  9. He's a relative? My wife's son named our grandson Tyrus after him. I happened to be in Royston the day our grandson was born and got him a Royston paper from that day and a ticket to the Ty Cobb museum, which I think has since closed.
  10. Why is it these Darwin Award candidates seem to do more damage to others before the finally do in themselves? And what in the heck was he flicking his Bic for?
  11. Ty Cobb would be a great answer. But he has been vilified for being a racist. (maybe he should have changed his "slave" name, huh) I don't know a lot of sports trivia questions. I know some answers, but not a lot.
  12. I guess you didn't read the part below what you bolded, besides you know that you would have to be approved by the wife and at the moment, you are on the ok list. But you know her, that could change.
  13. I actually posted this in a thread in the Political Forum, but I was curious as to how many people would know the answer. This is not meant to be a political question or topic. Here is my question. Can anyone name a major sports figure that gave a speech at a KKK rally saying that he agreed with the KKK? Hint #1: He has been voted the Number One sports figure of all time by many recent polls. Ohhh, then he must have lived during the era when racism was considered ok and been given a pass due to the times he lived in. Nope, he is still alive today. Ohhh, he must have recan
  14. Dang, I wrote all those words and you summed it all up with just two letters!
  15. I don't CARE why he did it, I am just glad he did it. Too many people have the "I can't do that, because it would be disloyal to my (whatever the relationship is)" attitude. Here is my rule of thumb: do not expect me to care more about your reputation, your financial issues, your job status or your freedom more than you do. In other words, if you do the "crime", then don't expect me to bail you out figuratively or literally. There are some exceptions to this rule, but they have a list of qualifications that must be met before you are eligible to be excepted. (after all a rule of
  16. I've been thinking that for years. At least before cell phones became popular.
  17. So saith the lawyer! (of course the fact that a lawyer gets a percentage of the settlement would never enter into affecting their opinion)
  18. Hmmmmm, could this be a government conspiracy? (there is no such thing as an assault weapon, any object you use to assault someone becomes an assault weapon)
  19. Either way, I like the way he is thinking.
  20. Cool costumes. I hope you take this as a complement, because I mean it that way, your daughter's picture startled me. Good acting job.
