I understand your point, but I trust Elmer Keith, Skeeter Skelton and Bill Jordan and all three recommended a short barreled pump shotgun with #4 shot as one of the best home defense weapons. But your last line I think says it best, "But you use whatever you feel comfortable with". I have tried to cover all bases, with shotgun, revolver and semi-auto pistol. ETA I am not positive that all three recommended #4 shot, it has been many years since I read these articles. It has been many years since they were around to write these articles.

21 yrs old and his life is over. I am not saying that it shouldn't be, after all I am proponent of the death penalty. It is just sad that this is not that uncommon nowadays. Perhaps if we did use the death penalty more often and more importantly, within a year of sentencing, then perhaps this type of thing would not happen as often. Or perhaps it would.
