  1. For those who like The Postman's charts, I have drawn a diagram showing the flow of the posts in this thread.
  2. I wouldn't know my mail person if they ran up and bit me, the same for the garbage people. In fact, I don't even know who our garbage company is. But, I admire those who have relationships with their mail and garbage people and do nice things for them.
  3. State Rep. Tyrone Brooks, D-Atlanta was among those who pushed for the removal of the statue of Tom Watson, a former state lawmaker, congressman and U.S. senator. The statue of Tom Watson had stood in front of the state capitol for over 81 years, since it was dedicated in 1932. Tom Watson (1856–1922) was an Georgia politician, attorney, newspaper editor, and writer. In the 1890s Watson championed poor farmers as a leader of the Populist Party, articulating an agrarian political viewpoint while attacking business, bankers, railroads, Democratic President Grover Cleveland, and the Democr
  4. I would hope that everyone regardless of which "side" they are on, would hope that our county would be the winner. I hope that those who are for the airport deal and those who are against the airport deal are doing so because they truly believe that it is what is best for the county.
  5. Reason?? There is no reason. It is just company policy.
  6. Uhhh, what day do you plan to leave this beer? Just curious, no reason for the question. Oh, and what is your address? Again, no reason for the question.
  7. It may be unwanted, it may be unwelcome, it may be inappropriate but it is not sexual harassment. You have to have power of some kind over someone to be guilty of sexual harassment. The rest just falls under the category of trying to get a little something something.
  8. It never occurred to me to do so. But then again, I am a bah humbug. I have no idea what the wife does, I do not have clearance at that level.
  9. I had just gotten back into town last Thursday night, I had unpacked and had the house lite up from one end to the other. (with the lights on in the house, including the light in the garage) It was 8:30pm and I had just settled down on the throne, when I heard a light knocking at the front door. The poodle and the bulldog started their barking and I went to answer the door. I had to be at the door in less than 60 seconds, but there was no one there. I walked outside and saw no one around, I even yelled a couple of times. I went back in and quickly slipped on my shoes, grabbed my mag light
  10. Deloris Taylor, she was his real life wife.
  11. The movie that Pubby is referring to is My Favorite Year, starring Peter O'Toole and Mark Linn-Baker and directed by Richard Benjamin. It is loosely based on Errol Flynn's appearance on Sid Caeser's Your Show of Shows in the 50's. It is a hugely funny show and O'Toole was nominated for a best actor Oscar for that role. He was also nominated for a best actor award for another movie that is a good watch and that was The Stunt Man, in which O'Toole plays an egomaniac directer who will do anything to get his vision and movie made. On of the last great actors and personalities has left u
  12. For those who say that pot is not addictive, I give you Ricky Williams, the running back with the Miami Dolphins in 2004. Williams tested positive for marijuana and basically would have to stop smoking pot to keep playing football. If he quit football, he not only would give up millions of dollars, he would have to pay back some of his signing bonus. If he tested positive for marijuana again while playing in the NFL, he would be suspended for 4 games and fined $650,000. In a nutshell, this is the deal: smoke pot = quit pro football and lose millions of dollars and pay back money not
  13. Albert Fish was one of the first one's I learned about, back in the 60's. Quite a strange man, to say the least.
  14. Wife's mad at me. I have been an ass....again.
  15. Well if you are certain, then I guess we can all relax. Whew, that's a load off my toilet.
  16. The sky is falling the sky is falling!!! Run, run, run!
  17. I agree 100%, as I said in a post at the start of this thing, just do what we tell our kids to do. If you make a mistake, acknowledge the mistake, apologize for the mistake, make amends and then move forward. But, you have to do all of the above. I tell my customers, I will never lie to you, I may tell you things that aren't true, but I will never lie to you. One asked me one time, what's the difference? I replied that when I tell them something, it is to the best of my knowledge to be the truth at that time. It may not be true due, to me getting wrong information or someone not being ho
  18. I hope it wasn't anything I did, I like Well Read also.
  19. I don't know Mr. Thompson and I do not wish to say that he is not trust worthy, but when you say "never ever" and then head up a project that is doing exactly what you said "never ever" to, then I think you need to explain why that is. And your explanation better be a good one. I do not say that Mr. Thompson cannot do so, perhaps he has and I have yet to hear it. But again, when you lead a project and promise your bosses that the project will not do the one thing the fear the most and then you better be able to show why you went back on your promise. That's all. I am open minded, I will l
  20. You know me to well. (nah, I quit going to those after the daughters of the strippers I knew started dancing, too weird)
  21. The man credited with being the worlds worst mass sex killer is Pedro Lopez. Lopez known in South America as the "Monster of the Andes'" admitted to murdering approximately 300 young girls. Apparently Lopez raped and murdered young girls at a rate of two a week for 3 years. Before he quit cooperating with the police, he took them to the graves of 53 young girls, between the ages of 8 and 12 years old. In his confession, Lopez admitted to killing 110 girls in Ecuador, 100 in Columbia and "many more than 100" in Peru. Lopez was convicted in 1980 of the 110 girls in Ecuador and was held,
  22. I'm sure your wife would love to know that the "forsaking all others" part of your marriage vows is based on a time limit. Or is that different? If so how? Ohhh, maybe because you didn't say "never ever". I agree 100% on this part, "They could have handled this Sooooo much better." My point is, they still can.
  23. Not really. I had a hard time selling at first, but then my boss at the time got mad when a prospect blew off a meeting with us. He said something along these lines, "That guy doesn't know his job. I could help his company improve their sales and make his job easier." That hit home, like I said, I really don't sell, I try and see where I can honestly help the people who use our stuff. If my agenda is truly trying to help your company, then the selling (explaining) part becomes a lot easier. But some will never be a customer. I had one guy, our first meeting, withing 10 minutes he had tol
