  1. I still call then Cherokee St. and Jones Shaw Rd. I'm to old to learn new names.
  2. You didn't ask me, but my thoughts are sorta along the lines of yours. I wouldn't know him if he knocked on my door, although I have seen one episode of the show. Whether he is on TV or not doesn't affect me since I do not watch the show. I do know some people that have worked with him and the other people on the show and they said that pretty much what you see on the show is how they are in real life. I respect him for standing up for his beliefs and since I personally didn't see any "hate" in what he said, I think that giving into any special interest group, be they gay, black, latino
  3. Ask the shops at Cumberland Mall if they agree.
  4. For those choosing to go to Charleston instead.
  5. I hear Sy is quite the hit with the gay men. (hmmm, perhaps there is a place for me if I ever switch teams)
  6. I don't know why but this song kept popping in my head while reading your post.
  7. I have a hard time backing mrnn, just out of habit. He knows I kid, he truly is a nice guy. (but don't tell him I said so) (a little misguided, but what the hey, so's the wife) So if I say I that as a man, a woman's vagina is more desirable than a man’s anus, I have offended someone? Maybe some of these people should listen to what my mother always told me when I was whining, "get over your self". Oh, don't forget the last part, "keep it up and I will give you something to whine about".
  8. TX, what a great state. But it's your list, so TX it is.
  9. For those who have never contacted Allegiant customer service, let me give you their standard answer to not being able to get anyone after waiting on hold for over an hour: "Sorry about the wait. Try calling us earlier in the day or later in the evening during off peak times." ETA 235 complaints with the BBB in the past 12 months. 510 in the past 3 years. Sounds like it is getting worse, not better.
  10. You got to admit, that is some good eating if you get sick twice and go back for more.
  11. As I have said before, in the past I have spent some time with Tod Pownall in groups and one on one. I have always found him to be an honest and upfront person. One thing that I learned from Mr. Pownall during my time with him, was his commitment to not only take care of things in the present time, but as he always said, we have to think about those who come after us and make sure that we leave those people in better shape than things were when we were in charge of taking care of things. In other words, think not only about the here and now, but make sure you leave things in better shape fo
  12. If someone asks you, "What is the wackiest state in the Union?", what state comes to mind first? My first thought is California, because they always have so much going on that just makes you shake your head and go....whaa? With an honorable mention to Florida. (not sure why, but for some reason FL has always struck me as a wacky state, maybe the combo of old people, young people, the sun, the gators and the spring breakers) I would have said Louisiana, but they have never even pretended to be anything other than what they are, so I give them a pass, just on honesty alone. This ques
  13. Hwy 278 - From Dallas, GA; through Cedertown, GA; Piedmont, AL; Gadsen, AL; Cullman, AL; Hamilton, AL; hook up with Hwy 78 to Memphis, TN (not sure that is the reason for the 4 lanes through Dallas, but we are all happy there are four lanes at 5pm on a weekday)
  14. Did he escape or did you set him free? (it's a joke, it's a joke)
  15. Haa! If I escaped from the ex, I can escape from anyone! After all, these people are only human, while the ex..........
  16. Can I just have the $5.25 and get me a Waffle House coffee? It appears that the answer to my question, so far, is; yes, it is sorta a coincidence.
  17. I moved here '98 because the ex moved here with my son. I had no clue that Atlanta owned property in Paulding till this year. My only concern is that those who we elect to represent us and those who work for us, be honest with us. I can like it or not like, but be honest. Not everything that is good for all is good for me (if it were only good for me, there would not be anyone on the road when I was on the road) but be upfront about the situation. At least that would remove my biggest complaint.
  18. These always crack me up. Poor AAron. Warning: language http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHG_Gv_zLY4
  19. First, I need to say that I have only lived in Paulding County since 1998. Second, I need to admit that when it comes to the topic my question is on, I have only a very little knowledge. My question will follow this outline of what I understand to be the general history (very general) and where we are now of this airport thing. As I understand it, the first time an airport was mentioned for Paulding was around 1975 and it was looked at as a second Hartsfield, with commercial flights, with rail service to Atlanta, a four lane hwy and several other things. Then sometime in the 1990's,
  20. I for one am glad that you served your time, completed your sentence or were paroled. I do not believe in holding a man's record, who has paid his debt to society, against him, so to you I say, good job. Ohh, and thanks for all the license plates over then years. (good work!)
