  1. Is that why the deal went down the way it did, the money?
  2. I have never heard of him (that shows you how long it has been since I listened to "new" music), but I listened to this one, looked him up and listened to another. Interesting.
  3. Holy crap, I just watched the video. I presume those were "real" country singers and "real" country songs. I was wrong it has gotten worse since I quit listening in the mid 80's and I said it couldn't.
  4. Why would you have someone steal your own decorations?
  5. In my opinion, it has been 60's pop since the mid 80's. And I may be being tough on 60's pop.
  6. Country music is GREAT! I sure wish they still made it.
  7. I didn't know that they had gotten to Andy also. I remember the Andy Capp comics from when I was a kid up until the late 80's. It was one of the few comic strips that originated in England and made it big in the US. Andy was unemployed, married to Flo and was usually either at the pub, fishing or laying on the couch. He nearly always had a ciggy hanging from his mouth and sometimes he and Flo went at it pretty dang good, with Flo giving as good as she got. I just found out that the PC people have gotten to Andy, something that neither Flo or her mother (Missus) could ever do. They hav
  8. I know some of you are old enough to remember this show and these gentlemen. They don't make em like that anymore.
  9. "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly"
  10. I'm getting the same thing I have for years, yep, you guessed it, stocking full of coal. (and I don't even know anyone with a coal stove anymore) (those ringed handles sure did burn ya tho, didn't they)
  11. Value Driven Leadership?? Was the BOC there? If so, I hope they took notes.
  12. Jeeze, just bit the bullet and take em to the airport. (you don't have to stop, just slow down and let em jump out)
  13. I have a friend who's church does a clothes and food thing. I am pretty sure it is in Paulding county, but I will ask him in the morning what church and where and post it.
  14. Years ago (early 80's) I worked at a grocery store on Roswell Rd in North Springs. For those who don't know, this is in the famous Dunwoody area, home of the original Atlanta soccer moms. One day I noticed an old guy out back going through the dumpster. He had to be in his late 60's or early 70's. He was driving an early 60's pickup and was wearing overalls and a tee shirt. I mentioned to the produce guy how that kind of stuff got to me, poor people having to go through dumpsters. The produce guy went out back and then called me over. He spoke to the man, calling him by name, then intro
  15. I have always said you care too much about others. (just kidding)
  16. You know how those people are that live the high life, the Possum Drop in Tallapoosa, vacations in Draketown, the summer home in Yorkville. Just brag brag brag.
  17. I did this a while back, but let's try it again. Who grew up in Smyrna? What Elementary school did you attend? What JR High or Middle school did you go to? How about high school? I grew up in Smyrna, and if you did also, you probably know at least one of my family. My grandparents had 12 grandkids and we were all raised in Smyrna. My grandfather laid the sidewalk at First Baptist of Smyrna and our families were very active there. I went to Smyrna Elementary, Nash JR High and Campbell High. My mother still lives on Lee Street. I worked at JD's Big Boy when I was a kid and the Big
  18. It bothers you that a man can have morals and ethics and stand up for them doesn't it? Maybe you should ask yourself, why.
