I could always tell it wasn't a store favored by corporate by the lack of new "stuff" they received compared to other Tuesday Morning stores (Marietta & Smyrna in particular). If it wasn't successful, then it was corporates own fault. Hopefully we can make an impact and they will stay.

Its called "naked dsl" ATT was forced to offer it (internet without a phone) as part of their deal with the govt when they bought back bellsouth. They don't really advertise it (since they want you to pay more), but they are required by law to sell you high speed internet service (dsl) without requiring you to have land line phone service.

Do you love tofu, too? What's your favorite way to...
jsbeagle replied to GipperGirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm not a fan of tofu, but I just made Alton Brown's Moo-Less Chocolate Pie http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/moo-less-chocolate-pie-recipe/index.html Its still chilling, but I've had it before and you wouldn't know it had tofu in it. We're having a healthy pot luck at work on friday, so this is the test run..... -
If it runs fine once its started, then the alternator is fine. Cold weather is not kind to car batteries, so the battery is almost definitely the problem. If you know where you got your current battery from, there is possibly a warranty that is prorated for the life of the battery, so while you won't get a free battery out of it it may be cheaper than full price. You would have to return to where you bought the current one and it still be under a warranty for this to apply.

The big question is whether they sell Bo berry biscuits. Some Bojangles do and some do not. Those things are wonderful. Little fake blueberries in a biscuit covered with icing. Doesn't get much better.

There is a simple reason almost all mass murders happen at so called "gun free zones" (schools etc). Somehow the bad guys never get the memo that they aren't supposed to have a gun there. That's the thing about criminals, they don't care if they break a law. The only people that follow the gun laws are the law abiding citizens. Its almost too simple for people to accept. (edit) - almost forgot http://gunmap.org/

What was the WORST Christmas gift you ever received?
jsbeagle replied to I'm Floored's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Last year, my aunt and uncle got me, my brother, and my dad.... toilet plungers They have a chamber you pump up with air and then release all at once down the drain, spewing water (hopefully just water) all over yourself and your surroundings. -
Probably need some kind of update to your browser. Is there an information bar that shows up at the top of the screen when this happens? If so, click on it and it should tell you the next step to take.

I was thrilled when they first came into Georgia a couple years ago. No more stocking up when I'm in Florida or the Carolinas.

47" LCD HDTV & Internet Connectable Blu-Ray Player $699
jsbeagle replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've had that TV for a few months. First HD, and it does the job just fine. I paid $550 at Frys (had to drive up to Duluth to pick it up). I'd say this is a decent deal, but not amazing. The bluray seems a little high unless you need those certain features. If you don't need netflix streaming, pandora, or youtube (our tivo does these already, and the wii does netflix), then you can get a good bluray player for around $70 if you look. Check out http://slickdeals.net/ also, if you buy 5 certain Disney bluray movies you can get a bluray player for $60. http://slickdeals.net/forums/sho -
Briar Patch does them for thanksgiving. I'm not sure if you could pick it up as early as you want it, but its worth the call. If I had the time, I could do it, but it takes many hours to cook. I got up every couple hours during the night last year to check on mine. Best turkey ever, but a total pain. I use a propane powered smoker, so its not as "set it and forget it" as a BGE.

Naval Academy Graduate Refused Conscientious Objector Status
jsbeagle replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Tuition, room and board, meals, etc at service academies are basically "free" (funded by the taxpayers). I'm not sure where they came up with the $1000 number. They actually get paid a small amount while in school as well. The only catch is that you have to graduate. Once you graduate, you are commissioned as an officer and are obligated to serve a certain number of years. That obligation can increase if you receive further training such as flight school. If you don't fulfill your commitment, you are required to pay back the cost of your education, prorated depending on how much time you -
Naval Academy Graduate Refused Conscientious Objector Status

It should be fine for him to get out. All he should need to do is give up his diploma and repay all of us for our money wasted. Last time I checked when my brother went to USAFA in the 90s, the going rate for a service academy education was close to a half mil. If he hurries though, all he'll need to do is come out of the closet... -
Well, this is an interesting night to say the least.

Since the battery is now out of it (won't get fried), now would be the time to hook an electric fence power thing to it. That way if anybody touched it, they would get the ride of their life.... and you'd probably get sued. Its a sad world. I'd still booby trap it in one way or another. -
I'm not gonna use my weapon to defend someone else unless its a dire situation. Too many lawsuits, not worth the hassle. If I draw mine, someone's getting shot.

How in the world did Rome make it into the playoffs? The must have limped in. This one will be interesting... My high school vs my new hometown team. I was mad when they moved Rome out of the region with all the Paulding teams.

The school bus is right outside the house now. I feel sorry for those kids.

Any more details on this situation? I was worried for a second when I got the alert because we live in Evans Mill and my wife would be heading home around this time. Luckily I remembered that she has parent conferences until 6:00 tonight. I'd still like to know what was going on there - its hard to pull out into traffic from Evans Mill onto 120, but most people go behind the BP and use Macland to get to a light.

Should schools be more involved with teaching the dangers of guns?
jsbeagle replied to cricket1176's topic in RECENT TOPICS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7ufT_6Kgy0 I'm not for any kind of censorship, but kids are too used to playing games where you get shot and have to sit out a few seconds before coming back. They just don't realize the seriousness of getting shot. There isn't a good way to universally stop kids from bringing guns to school. Its up to the parents to inform their children and also to not allow them to have access to their guns. I don't have any kids yet, but still haven't decided on the best way to secure guns so they're still accessible in an emergency, but away from kids. B -

Oh man, I've got 2 or 3 bags I could sell.... You're free to smoke them, inject them, or just throw the on the ground! My personal favorite is to place them gently between the toilet seat and the bowl so that when someone sits, they get a nice surprise. Luckily if you scare anything out of them, they're already on the toilet!

If it had the brand of car listed, a dealer might be able to look it up in the system. If an aftermarket clicker, then no such luck. Just a thought.

No specific threat, so they just felt like messing with Atlanta interstate traffic at rush hour? Next time they should try the downtown connector.
