  1. I liked Jill on Tim Allen's "Tool Time" show.
  2. Sure! One more vent - when someone in my household has to get up early and I don't. They make so much noise and then say they're sorry they woke me. Yeah, right.
  3. I don't understand how people have so much to say that they have to be on the phone or texting all the time. Am I the only one that hates being on the phone?
  4. Why didn't I think of that? That is probably what everyone else that viewed this was thinking too and you are the only one that took the time to suggest it. Thanks.
  5. It's probably none of my business but, I have been looking at pcom every day to see if Mr.Dis has posted anything new about the issues with his son. I'm just hoping that everything is better for all of them.
  6. There appear to be lots of prayers going out on your behalf so perhaps a miracle will happen. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
  7. RIP Goober. I heard somewhere today that he was supposed to play the part of Gomer but they gave it to Jim Nabors instead.
  8. That is great news!! By the way, I would be happy to give you some of my weight.
  9. What a sweetheart! Maybe you should have a couple more....
  10. I think a lot of us are feeling that way. I kind of laughed when I read that, but it's not really funny. I want to go to Albuquerque to see my son and his family, Indianapolis to see my brother, sisters, cousins and old friends and visit my parents' graves and eastern KY for a Riley family reunion. Most of all, I really NEED to get to the ocean. Just thinking about all of this wears me out and just going to the grocery does too. Lack of funds will leave me dreaming and not getting to go anywhere.
  11. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end. We'd sing and dance forever and a day. We'd live a life we choose, we'd fight and never lose for we were young and sure to have our way.....
  12. Have you ever seen the Twilight Zone episode about mannequins?
  13. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
  14. Happy news for you and your family. Congratulations.
  15. Sounds delicious - don't think I could wait that long to eat it either.

Don't take this the wrong way. I'm 61 and I moved out of my parents house when I got married at 20. I have never been by myself and I am so looking forward to my youngest growing up and being on his own - he is 16. I don't want to move in with my kids, even though I love all three of my sons and my two daughters-in-law. I'm looking forward to being able to do what I want when I want. Find out what it is that your mother has always wanted to do and help her do it. She surely has things that she is interested in, groups she could join, volunteering that she could do. My mother-in-law (she
  17. We discuss this all the time on a facebook page for people from the southside of Indianapolis. We walked everywhere - to school, to the store, the neighborhood drugstore soda fountain, the library, our friends' houses, the school playground. My mom never drove so we had to walk or we would ride the city bus to town to shop. But of course there were sidewalks everywhere.
  18. I forgot to watch that anniversary show. In Living Color was hilarious.
  19. There were some horrible things that happened back then. I remember this story, Charles Manson and his followers, Jim Jones and his followers and the mother, Gertrude something or other, that tortured her own daughter. I grew up in Indianapolis so there was a lot of talk about all of these.
  20. Another one gone. RIP Jonathan Frid/Barnabus Collins.
