My kids were talking about that yesterday. They said it was the year that their Papa bought them a 4 wheeler. I don't remember. After staying up all night and then them getting up the minute my head hit the pillow--all those Christmas's are a blur!!!

Mine has been down for about 2 hours!!! Couldn't wait. Now I have this huge hole in my living room!!! Or at least it seems like it!!

Getting a pretty good little snow storm again--here on Hiram Sudie. And looking at the radars--we have more coming in from Alabama. It is stretching all across Alabama--and heading this way!!!! With these temps--could make for a very interesting morning.

I will NEVER buy from Rooms to Go again. I bought a living room suite there about 10 yrs ago and it literally lasted about 2 years. Cheapest made stuff ever, looks good in the store but once you get it home--piece of crap.

My son and his family left my house, on Hiram Sudie, and headed home to New Hope, Peach Crossing off Frye Road, and said the closer they got to home--the worse it got. They made it and had to park the car at the end of the driveway--which is very steep.

If you try Cobb and Paulding, you will likely not hear much of Paulding just because Cobb is so much busier and will override everything else.

Haven't really been paying a lot of attention to the scanner but I did hear them say a couple different times that the roads were beginning to get bad. People--use common sense and don't be out on the roads. Stay at home, stay warm and enjoy what is left of Christmas.

I know several folks that have bought furniture at The Dump and been very pleased. Never been there myself. Good luck!!

Starting to hear 10-50 calls on the scanner. Just heard 3 in a row--Cole Lake Road, Marshall Fuller at 61 and Mulberry Rock Road. All are either flipped vehicles or hitting trees. Be careful out there folks---it will not get any better out there.

Is it real oatmeal--or instant that they just throw fuit into it??? Thereiis a huge difference. I can't stand instant oatmeal. I have to buy the long cooking oats and actually cook it!!! Then we put a little butter and sugar in our bowl, stir in the oatmeal and add just a tad of milk.

I remember many, many years ago when my Dad had a scanner, we used to hear Cobb County put out that BOLO. (and I am talking 30+ years ago). My Dad worked for Cobb County Schools and they had somebody breaking into all the schools and he would listen to the Cobb County channels. Of course back then there wasn't much going on in PC!!!

We were at Kroger in Hiram about 11:00 and it was not bad at all. Ran into a few folks that I haven't seen in quite a while. Left Kroger and went to KMart--parking lot was awful, but inside wasn't as bad--all registers were open and no lines. Went to Chili's for lunch (let grandaughter choose)--good food and not crowded. Then stopped at PetsMart for doggie and kitty presents--already had everything marked down really cheap. Got several different bone bags for the pup and a kitty crack (catnip) mouse for the kitty. Traffic was not any worse than a normal Saturday in Hiram to me.

We are going with finger foods and sandwiches this year. Dips, chips, cheese and crackers, several choices of breads and rolls, meats, etc. Making my candy bar pie for desert--and maybe a pound cake.

Isn't there a PeachMac (or something similiar) at the Avenues??? I know my boss has been going there quite a bit checking out all the Mac stuff.

The deserts are to die for!!! If both of you can decide on just one--they are plenty bid enough to share. When I go for lunch--I usually get the Fancy Chicken Salad. It is wonderful--a huge amount of grilled chicken over greens with sauteed peppers, artichokes and fresh mozzarella cheese. It is so flavorful--I don't even use any salad dressing on it. The panninies (sp) are good--I usually go for the veggie one with sweet potato fries. Believe me--anything you order will be great. Even their breakfast stuff is good!!!

I had a former client that worked for Tyler Perry as a carpenter and he made really good money--this was a couple of years ago.

Does anybody know what happened to Nona??? I went to school with her, but haven't run into her in years. Sorry that her family is going thru this.

What I don't understand is the "big girls" wearing the tunics, leggings and boots. All I can say is that they need a really good friend to tell them that it is not the best look when you are a big girl. We have a girl at work that wears them---and she looks horrible. When you are a big girl---you don't need to wear something that fits you like a second skin. And all the young big girls--that walk around with their stomachs showing and strappy shirts. Where are their mothers????? I would have never allowed my daughter to go out like that.

JC Penney carries the Alfred Dunner brand and it is a very nice, comfy brand for older folks--stylish also. Kohls, Macys, Belk and Sears also carry that brand. They have nice piecable outfits (pants, tops, jackets and vests. My mother likes to wear vests when it is not bone chilling cold, because they are not as bulky as wearing a coat, but yet still warm. Sears carries some Lands End stuff.

I kept the AT&T internet--just because I hate Comcast and will never deal with them again. I didn't have any problem at all. The only draw back is that the TMobile home phone comes thru the internet, so if the internet goes down--you have no home phone. This has happened once in the last year, but not a problem for me. Seemed like my AT&T phone was out more!!

I dropped my AT&T phone and kept my high speed internet about a year ago. I have to have the high speed for doing work at home. You can't file on the government pacer site without the high speed. My bill is right at $50 a month, but I am saving almost that amount by having my home phone thru TMobile for only $10 a month. AT&T keeps sending me stuff wanting me to come back to their phone service--but until they can match the $10 a month--I will stay where I am. I have no complaint with the TMobile home service at all. I know several years ago, my grandaughter was in the vehicle with a friend that had an accident. She was only 3 or 4 at the time and they transported her to the hospital to be checked out. This was in Douglas County and they give her a stuffed animal from Toy Story and she was very proud of it!! She kept telling everybody that she got it because Jessica broke her truck and she had to ride in the ambulance!!

You might find out that the mortgage company has not changed anything yet. I have had clients that give up their house and 3 years later, they are still getting tax bills, citations and such because the records at the courthouse still show it in their name.

I have a friend that lives in PCB and they are still talking about this-and the girl that was arrested, got out of handcuffs 3 times and took her pants and panties off in the process. The cops then asked her husband to help her get her clothes back on so they could take her to jail. PCB has a very bad meth problem. Just about every night you will hear several on the news.
