Cortisone injection and Medrol Dose Pak? Those will help alleviate the pain. Depending on what your doctor recommends, either ice packs or heat packs for the pain. Gentle range of motion exercises to keep the muscles going and keep the juices flowing (seriously). And yes, I've had it in both hips and one shoulder in the past. I was miserable as I am sure you are as well. Heal fast.

I became a fan, and a wearer, of black turtleneck shirts because of him.

Oh, Laurie, I'm so sorry you had to leave. Who's going to keep Pubby in line now? I totally understand you leaving, my friend. I really do. Take care of yourself. Put on that pink hat sometime and take a selfie and post it for us.

Aloe. Aloe gel or cream will be fine. It doesn't have to be an aloe leaf.

I bet so. I was thinking the one in Douglasville, that was first a Garden Ridge, then OTP and then again Garden Ridge. It was just off Highway 5 in Douglasville. I think of Highway 5 in Marietta as being Canton Highway. That's what it was when I was a little kid. Of course, that means South Cobb Drive is still The Access Highway and Cobb Parkway is still The Four Lane.

Did they re-open OTP in Douglasville? I actually like it better than the re-opened Garden Ridge.

Both knees are fine. First PT session for the second surgery this morning. It went well and looks like I won't have to go as long as I did the last time. And thank you for asking!! I remember seeing some fall decorations at K-mart the other day but nothing just like what you are looking for. I hate shopping, too and that was just aimlessly wandering through a store, by myself, while I could.

How about Garden Ridge, Old Time Pottery or the Halloween place?

What movie would you never watch again?
Mama Carol replied to cookies are sweet's topic in RECENT TOPICS
LOL. I watched Pet Cemetery a couple of nights after I had foot surgery. I was still doped up on the anesthesia as well as the pain meds. I crawled up the steps to my bedroom to sleep in my own bed later that night. I refused to stay downstairs by myself after watching that movie. I didn't realize at that time that pain meds really mess up my dreams. I realize it now. I have to be careful what I watch in the two hours or so before I go to bed (or just kick back in the recliner). -

The racing movie? Don't think I saw it, or at least not all of it. As I recall, it was pretty bad, whatever it was. -

Oh yeah, War of the Worlds. The one with Tom Cruise. Only movie I've ever been to where I wanted my money back. -

Advice on purchase of a new washer and dryer

All this talk about Speed Queen has made me considering getting one, even if the closest dealers are 20 and 35 miles away. Especially if I can get a basic one for under $600. Well worth considering. -
Advice on purchase of a new washer and dryer

That's a good deal. The one I looked at online had 8 cycles and was almost $1000. And like I said, just a 3.3 cu ft washer tub so that was not big at all. I could have seen that kind of money for a much larger tub but one that small I think the one I have now is a little over 4 cu ft. Interesting thing about my washer and dryer. We bought them used when we moved because we had to have something right then. It was a matched set which is kind of hard to get with used ones. My daughter got an identical washer when she bought one after they moved and she got the newer dryer. Both dryer -

Good heavens! They are proud of those Speed Queen washers, aren't they? I was wanting to get both washer and a dryer for that amount of money. Seriously, eight cycles? I use two. And that's only a 3.3 cu ft washer. That's not terribly large. I think my used one is bigger than that. I certainly wouldn't want a smaller machine either. Think I'll keep looking. -
Advice on purchase of a new washer and dryer

One thing I loved about my Maytag front load washer was how dry the clothes came out of the washer. I could dry a load of towels in the dryer in less than 30 minutes. Takes close to two hours in my current dryer (which is not one I would recommend). The front load washers are easier on the clothes but they don't seem to get clothes as clean. Mine had an automatic lock but I could push the on/off button and after about 90 seconds, it would unlock and I could add more clothes if necessary. I really wish I could get another unit like the one I had. I was afraid it wouldn't wo -

Absolutely. If it can be a hate crime to assault a gay, a black, a Hispanic, or member of any other group, it should be a hate crime when it's the other way around.

Pillowtex Corp. Failure Cost 7,650 Employees Their Jobs.

Perhaps from this statement: There's always exceptions; like at the WH where most men are being paid more than the women there. My son in law worked there. He got paid minimum wage. If the women get paid less than the men, that would mean the women get paid less than minimum wage. -
Yeah, we do. I shake my head, shut up and walk off. He just shuts up and walks off. Seriously, we pretty much agree on everything. If either of us "makes a better point", it is merely pointing out something the other hadn't considered but usually agrees with.

I think the proper terms are "thrifty" and "frugal". Tightwad just sounds too Scrooge-like. I definitely prefer being call "frugal". -
