I think we bought KraftMaid for our rental. Lower priced cabinets but very well built. They definitely had more expensive ones but since we were putting them in a house we planned to rent out or sell, we didn't want the expensive cabinets. I think we picked up the countertop on the discount bin at Lowe's. I'm pretty sure the cabinets came from Lowe's since we bought almost everything for that house at Lowe's. Note to OP, I am both jealous that you're doing a kitchen remodel and yet glad it's you and not me.

Wow!! Excellent post. You said everything I was thinking, especially the highlighted part. And check the vision when you check the reading skills. I complained for years that I couldn't see the board at school. Since I was out of school a lot with illness, my mom really thought I was just pretending to have trouble seeing the board. So she took me to have my vision tested. Somehow there was a mix-up with the prescription and I was given READING glasses when my problem was far vision. I went years without that being corrected but got asked almost daily if I was using my reading gla

Let me preface this with the disclaimer that I am a card carrying cynic. It's because of the drug companies primarily but also the fact that no school wants to have to use patience with kids. Nor do parents. Everyone in the "establishment" wants all kids to be unique, you know-- just like everyone else. Drug companies spend billions of dollars on advertising and pushing their products on both consumers and physicians. They wine and dine physicians, along with giving them and their offices all kinds of goodies. A lot of physicians know that they won't get those goodies if they don't p

For years, we knew our middle daughter had ADHD. We couldn't get anything done about it. She was a pretty good student in spite of the ADHD. Now that she's 38 that ADHD works to her advantage. She is tough, strong and is in school to be an RN while working full time and raising three extremely active kids. I honestly don't think she could do it if she didn't have ADHD. It takes patience to deal with a kid with this. Something that the schools and most parents just don't have. Doesn't mean it's wrong. That's for certain. And to label it a "psychiatric" disorder, is IMO, just plai

I would definitely talk to Lowe's. Home Depot maybe. Both have very nice looking cabinets and can give you a quote. At least with a quote, you would know if a local cabinet maker was giving you a good deal or not. I know there used to be a cabinet shop in Douglasville, on Veteran's Memorial near Fairburn Road. I have no idea if it's still there or if they moved or if they're still in business. I don't get to Douglasville very often any more. I think it was called Leonard Cabinets. I'm pretty sure the other cabinet makers I used to know about have closed up shop since there is basica

Yes, but they make the laws. When I get ready to get a security camera, I want one that has the same quality of clarity.

If I hadn't had a 13 month old top-of-the-line laptop, I would have opted for a new computer over the new motherboard. I didn't want to lose my laptop, so I went with the motherboard. I think it was around $150, plus or minus. That included labor. I wish I had talked to Steven before I had it done.

But think about it. Sex on the hood of a car. The hoods get very hot when the vehicle is operating and stay that way for hours. Not only that, can you imagine what the sun does to it in New Mexico. I say it was staged. Or else she had one heck of a blanket under her to protect her from the heat of the hood.

My hubby called me into the living room and said "is this not deja vu?" I thought he was talking about the storm out in the Atlantic heading toward North Carolina but unfortunately he wasn't. So tragic, both of them--Tara and this new one, Tiffany I think. Thinking of both families right now. Particularly thinking of the Drummonds as the sixth anniversary of Tara's death approaches. Love you Tina! I am in shock that it happened yet again. And in such an eerily similar way. It really sounds like some of the trainers need to go for refresher training courses themselves. You NE

I thought my power supply had gone out a few months ago and it was really the motherboard. They are pricey, too, so be prepared for that. Or get a new computer. Laptop or desktop? And I second the recommendation for Steven at Computer Rescue.

You're right. It was our agent's broker who held the check. The VA required earnest money to be included with the offer, as well as proof of funds. The actual check was not to be sent to the listing broker until the offer had been accepted and it wasn't. The previous house we tried to buy we never got to the point of sending earnest money. When we were high bidder on a house at auction, we had to send earnest money. That went to the auction company and it took almost a month to get that back after the deal fell through. I WANT A HOUSE!
-
That's what happened the last time we tried to buy a house. Our buyer's agent held the check waiting for acceptance of the offer. We were also able to get the check back within 2 days when the offer didn't go through (house had already been sent to auction and listing agent couldn't accept an offer at that point).

Am I the only one who feels like this was staged?

I didn't realize that safe sex included sunscreen. That was some good video surveillance camera view, too. There's never a view that good when it's a robbery at a convenience store.

American Legion on Florence Road 2:30 to 7:30 Monday (yes, Labor Day). I plan to go but have no idea what time. I never make an appointment.

Priceless! Hey PSD, how about a blood donation next Monday?

sounds like you got the right tools. -
We get probably 50-60 channels with just a regular old (keyword being OLD) rooftop antenna. HD, digital, everything. We love it. Why pay for cable?
-
Request it by mail. Nothing else you can do. BTW, I get almost the same message. Well, not about the mortgage but that for my protection they can't deliver it on the Internet. I get that message from Equifax, Experian and Transunion.

Yep, a closing attorney doesn't happen at the time of the offer and traditionally they don't accept earnest money. At least that has been our experience at buying property in two different counties in Georgia and making offers on property in Florida.
-
Hmmmm. I always thought earnest money went to the listing agency or at least the real estate agency you were using. That's what we have always done. And note to OP, why is the SELLER saying it needs to be made out to the closing attorney? Are you not using an agent? If you're not using an agent, GET ONE ASAP!!! Even, and maybe especially, if it is a for sale by owner deal. Give Mark Willix a call and he will take care of you. As long as the only thing different is the payee and the original check is turned in, the bank should let the OP do it without her husband IF it is mad

This is the dumbest argument I've ever had.

My garbage can has printed on the lid "place handles toward curb". I would think that would settle any argument. BTW, my hubby does the same thing. Drives me nuts turning the handle around. -
I agree with SS. However, if you're both on the loan or the account from the bank, they might be willing to let you do it. But check with the agent or attorney for the EXACT way the check should be made out. Congratulations!!

ATT modem + Linksys wireless router = no internet

they will tell you only certain routers work with the modems you get from AT&T. They're right, too. I got a new modem/router in June and it does fine. Not an AT&T product, either.
