  1. this is EXACTLY what I've gone through since about 1994. Except mine hasn't gone away--just gotten better with a decrease in stress levels. I can't tell you how many times people have said "oh my gosh! Your back is bleeding!". I just say "yes, I know".
  2. There is also supposedly something similar out at Sweetwater Creek Park.
  3. It might something as simple as there being an ingredient in something that she has suddenly become sensitive to. I was taking fish oil capsules and started having HORRIBLE itching on my arms. It felt like my skin was crawling, literally. I couldn't help but claw my arms. I finally looked at the label on the fish oil, because that was the only thing I was doing different, and discovered that Vitamin E is added to that particular brand of fish oil. I'm VERY allergic to Vitamin E. I stopped taking the pills immediately but it took about two weeks for my arms to start feeling better.
  4. That ad is disgusting and demeaning. BTW, Lowrider, I have to disagree about the sizes. I have a shirt that I purchased probably 6 or 7 years ago which is a bit loose. I purchased another, same style by the same manufacturer, last year and it was way too SMALL. I have also noticed that particularly at places like Walmart or Target, an XL is now a 14 or possibly a 16, where it used to be 18 or even 20.
  5. You said she hasn't made any changes to detergents, etc. but what about stress? My skin gives me FITS when I'm stressed out. For 15 years, by the time April 15 rolled around my back was a bloody mess and NOTHING would stop the itching. Since I stopped doing taxes, my dermatitis is actually better.
  6. another news site is reporting that Mayor Paris did in fact resign tonight.
  7. basically NONE. Supposedly some hotels give an AARP discount but generally you can get a lower rate by going through hotels.com or the hotel itself.
  8. One of my neighbors went to Curves in Powder Springs and lost a LOT of weight. She did great with it. Unfortunately, I don't believe the Curves is still in business. The person who owned about five of them--Dallas, Douglasville, Powder Springs and a couple of others--sold them several years ago. They seemed to go downhill from there. I have never been but people I have known who did loved it.
  9. I can't give a lot of help but think I can answer the questions. I'll answer it below in red.
  10. Maybe a pina colada later. Will have our usual sugar free fudgesicle soon and then popcorn. Probably go to bed by 11. We're too old to go out and party. Besides, been there, done that.
  11. A couple of years ago we went to Cracker Barrel for New Year's day dinner. It was really good!
  12. Has it only been a week since Christmas? Seems like two months! Glad to know it's not just me.
  13. I agree 100% about the side by side fridge. Hated mine! No freezer space, no fridge space. I love my bottom freezer fridge, though.
  14. I'm reading a book on "freezer cooking" (cooking once, eating for a month). I just don't see how you could do that with a chest freezer. You would lose so much stuff to the bottom of the freezer.
  15. I've told Pubby in the past that I thought there were some minor problems with the software but it had to do with PMs and not generating lists of any kind. I do know that I have to actively check my PM box because I don't always get the notification.
  16. Isn't that the truth!! I am always having to move something to get into my freezer. That, along with the lid not staying up by itself, make it a major PITA.
  17. Odds are REALLY good of winning if you posted your code. I think three people I sent codes to posted. Three out of 30 or so. Not good.
  18. the list might be the ones he had before Tuesday because the ones I sent out Tuesday or Wednesday are on the list. But I don't recall seeing the ones I sent out earlier on the list.
  19. for just me and hubby, we're not going to have that many large cuts of meat. A turkey might be it but we're not going to have them in the freezer for any length of time, if at all. We tend to cook them as soon as we thaw them.
  20. I really don't know. To be honest, I didn't look that closely. I just remember that most of the ones I sent were paying members.
  21. I started with one but once I saw so few people posting their numbers, and so many complaining that they didn't get a PM from anyone, I got more. I wish everyone who had qualified had received a PM from another member. Only a few commerce members had cards to pick up and apparently there was a lot of confusion about which commerce members had them. Since the idea was to get in touch with others, wish them a happy holiday and give them the chance to enter to win the $200, I think it was a great thing! I did my part.
  22. I beg to differ about it staying within the clique. With ONE exception, all the codes I sent out were to people I did not know and in many cases, would have liked to met. I just simply managed to get a card for one person I knew. I got about 30 cards, so I guess it was inevitable since I do personally know a LOT of Pcommers. I'm not on the list under my member name but am under my commerce member name. I log in as invisible on both. Always have.
  23. what does the sign say? I can't remember where it was but I passed one sign that was well past the time the closure was supposed to be and it was still closed.
