  1. I'm a Conservative, and I hate Marxists - or anyone else - who wants to overthrow my country. Please read my prior post in this thread. I used the word Liberal without throwing ten adjectives in front of it. Do I nonetheless qualify as a spewer and hater, and one that is prejudiced (I'm not sure what kind of prejudice is being referred to here) and bigoted? Seriously...take an objective look at public forums, not just this one, but letters to the editor, etc., and if you are honest with yourself, you will absolutely find more name calling by Liberals than from Moderates or Conservatives
  2. T & B Pest Control? KC owns it, sounds like he might be your guy. They are local and I've used them for 4 years, great service. (770) 505-6114
  3. justgettingby, I did find the link to local coordinators, just as you said. I just missed it the first time I went to the website. THANKS!
  4. I hope you can find out. The warehouse on Moon Station Rd. in Kennesaw is a bit of a hike from Hiram. Is there a "coordinator" in our (Hiram/Dallas) area that one can contact to determine the site of local deliveries? It's a great idea and we want to try it out. Thank you again.
  5. Thanks to all who answered, your info is appreciated and is helpful. I'll try the farmersmarket link, and I'll give Ingles another try.
  6. Not looking for a vitamin store, supplements, that sort of thing. Rather, I'd like to find a store specializing in things like low sodium food, gluten-free foods, organic produce, etc. I know that all of the grocery stores around Dallas/Hiram have some items like this, some even have small departments devoted to healthier or organic foods. But I'm looking for a store that specializes in those types of health foods. Anyone know of anything like that nearby. I'd rather not have to drive all the way in to Marietta to go to Harry's, although I like that place a lot. But it's a hike to get th
  7. LOL. This reminds me of the time, when I was a traveling salesman, that I had to call on a small company in Northeast Alabama, out in the country. This was way before GPS and even cell phones. I had been driving around for about an hour, trying to find this place with no luck, lost, actually, and finally came upon an elderly gentleman walking on the side of the road. I pulled over and asked him if he knew how to get to XYZ Contractors, and he said "Sho 'nuf. It's easy. Go on up this road here a spell, and when you get to where the Methodist Church used to be before it burned down, turn l
  8. Yes. "The Armstrong and Getty Radio Show" out of San Francisco, every weekday morning from 9 A.M. - 1 P.M Eastern time. It will take you a while to begin understanding some of their comments made with reference to comments made on earlier shows, but after a week or so of listening, you should be able to figure it all out. Informative, truthful, and VERY funny. Unless you are a Liberal. Then, not so much.
  9. Huge waste of money. Laughable. With Dems in control of Congress, might stand a chance of actually being passed. Cost of existing roadtop preparation Cost of installation Cost of maintenance Cost of energy recovery and transmission Oh, I forgot. We could just print more money. Solar cell parking lots? Might be feasible. Home-based solar solutions? Already in use by some. Solar is obviously part of the solution, but replacing the existing national Grid with this (which would be the ultimate goal)? Think of the most hellacious nightmare you can imagine, triple i
  10. Another positive mention for Chick Fil A. The store(s) are always very clean, restrooms especially, and the staff are obviously well-trained. Bravo.
  11. Quite obviously our Marines (and other branches) are not better human beings and do not have more decency and humanity than our enemy. I'm not being snarky here, nor self-righteous. But this video is once again a reality check on what is, and what we want to believe is. Imagine the number of other acts that must have been and are committed by humans that are quite as repulsive as this, or more so, in and out of wartime situations, that are not caught on camera or even brought to the light of day. If you (the collective you; I'm not addressing the author of the post I have referenced) or
  12. Bad intersection. Lives will be saved. Traffic light the best solution IMO.
  13. Thanks icon. A real timesaver, with options the Amazon pages don't offer like price drop tracker. Great find.
  14. Undoubtebly. It's interesting. Both supposedly and undoubtedly end in edly. There is something in some (many) people's DNA that makes them want to pronounce that d as b. Could this possibly be related to the visual similarity of d and b, and perhaps a glitch during the mental processing of thought to word? Kind of a dyslexic affinity between the two letters? Else why doesn't "supposerly" or "supposegly" pop up now and then? It's interesting.
  15. What's an addy? Is that like an adder? Maybe an eddy? What the heck is an addy? Ooooh. I see. I googled it...it's an award given by the American Advertising Federation. I don't think a store would take mine either, if I had one. I guess you do get a lot of spam when you get one of these, because your name is up in bright lights etc.
  16. He's on his second stint there, I believe. Got voted there, won, came back, and then kind of lost on purpose so that he would go to the Island, and he's been there ever since. Pretty sure about this. I think your Mom is correct. (aren't they always?)
  17. I guess it's a matter of opinion on how/where to get it done. Personally, I subscribed to Suze Ormond's program for about $20 years ago, one time fee, and it walks you through not only making a will (with guidelines for each state) but also other important docs like Letter to Executor, Affadavits, Durable Power of Attorney, Healthcare Power of Attorney, etc. It was easy, the hardest thing about it was finding a Notary Public (banks who have NP's won't do it, I just took mine to the County Courthouse, $1.50 fee I think). I've updated it twice, and if I can do it, anyone can. Easy. It allow
  18. Surely you jest. You call being carded a hassle? Really? Are you familiar with the meth problem we have in this area? Did you know that an ingredient in Sudafed is used by those who break the law to make methamphetamine? Isn't the small inconvenience of showing your id, (in order to limit the quantity of Sudafed and other OTC drugs that contain this ingredient that can be sold to an individual each month), offset by the knowledge that you are doing your part as a law abiding citizen to contribute to the welfare of the community? I'm sure you'd agree with those who enacted this law, tha
