  1. A.L., Anno Lucis, is Latin for "In the year of Light" or "Year of Light", and is used within Ancient Craft (Blue Lodge) Freemasonry when affixing dates to official Masonic documents. As noted, it is derived by adding 4000 to the current modern (Gregorian) calendar date. Its use should not be construed to mean that Masons believe that the earth was created 4000 years ago; rather, it is symbolic of earth's creation, or more specifically, Light, which itself is a meaningful symbol within Freemasonry connected with new beginnings, intellectual awakenings, and other moral concepts.
  2. Two words: The Twins (678) 616-6748 PHONE Excellent service, on-time, honest, reliable, experienced. We used them for routine cleanout and they exceeded our expectations.
  3. Excellent job technically, & a great idea. Thanks for doing this.
  4. Hey, You're ok. You'll be fine. Just breathe. http://www.zefrank.com/chillout/ If you listen to this, maybe you'll feel better.
  5. I don't mean to hijack the OP's post, but "...even Ingles"? That phrase implies that Ingles is at the bottom of the list as far as "current standards" go. I find Ingles to be one of the cleanest, friendliest, and most well-stocked grocery stores I've ever visited. The shopping experience there equals and sometimes goes beyond that of Publix, which many consider to be the the gold standard. Ingles' wide aisles, excellent lighting, product selection, cleanliness, friendliness, and helpfulness of employees make shopping at some of the others mentioned seem like shopping at a food trough.
  6. Latest news from today is that things are getting better. All of this before the Republicans took over the House, too. Surely you are being sarcastic. Surely.
  7. I've already fixed the car, it's all ready to go. I'm an alumnus; they are alumni. (Never "I'm an alumni", unless you attended the University of Florida) He complimented her on the way in which her shoes complemented her accessories. Casting his gaze toward the once-empty orchestra pit, the magician pointed at the viola and cried, "Voila!". The tickly sensation of the tick crawling on his cheek gave him a facial tic. A thing can be unique, or almost unique, but never very unique. It's either unique or it isn't. He was indicted for inditing that which he swore to never reveal. After hou
  8. After he alluded to the size of her waist he eluded her fist.
  9. Lots of imagination and imagining going on here...lol. It's a confusing story, to say the least. Muddled.
  10. Did you take the time to read the comments to the article you referenced? Try it. Do they indicate to you some hint as to the taxpayer's sentiments about this issue in Jacksonville, FL? It's all about fiscal responsibility, at every level of government. I am a readaholic. I'm "for" libraries, education, fire protection, good roads, government employee penisons, adequate correctional system facilities for the incarcerated, help for the homeless, law enforcement, public safety, good street lighting, \ and national security. I am also "for" our elected representatives following basic, c
  11. Sources and context, please?
  12. I agree. Condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
  13. No disrespect here, but I don't understand at all the last sentence above, beginning with "...and if a neighbor..". Who was "probably trying to explain them [pants and panties] away to their husband"? A neighbor? If so, why would a woman try to "explain them away"? I take the phrase "explain away" to mean something like make excuses for, or cover something up. Why would someone who found some clothing in either their yard or another person's yard try to "explain them away"? I'm sure I'm missing something here. My condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
  14. Who eluded (sic) that the person had been raped? I never saw or heard an allusion to rape. Did you?
  15. AT&T said a line was cut affecting "hundreds or more", according to CS. Anybody know any more about it? We haven't had dialtone since early this morning. We are in the Hiram-Sudie/Davis Mill Rd. area.
  16. Oven fried chicken, roasted potatoes, green beans, iceberg lettuce salad with walnuts, shredded cheese and carrots, water, a from-scratch chocolate chip cookie. Is my wife awesome or what?
  17. T&B Pest Exterminators, Phone: 770-505-6114. Outstanding.
  18. Lots of emergency and law enforcement types around 11:15 this morning. Traffic managed by GHP. Anybody know what it was? Hoping no serious injuries.
  19. We just finished a really great Southern breakfast at The Taste of Dixie on Hwy 92. Bill and the gang treated all veterans to a free breakfast this morning, and like all of their food, it was delicious. I was going to have my normal fried eggs, but the scrambled eggs my wife got looked so good that I changed my order to scrambled also. Thick bacon, biscuits and gravy, hot coffee, French toast, home fries - yummmm-o! Bill is really giving back to the community, in lots of ways, but the real reason we keep going there is the delicious meals and the value. Not much traffic getting there, and
  20. You should encourage your son, regardless of age, to join MENSA. There he will find opportunities to meet and converse with others who have high IQs, and to benefit from those associations. All he has to do is take a qualified IQ test, and MENSA even sponsors proctored exam days. Guaranteed, they will know what he's talking about, and his mind will be stretched.
  21. We had breakfast there this morning. First time. Outstanding. No long lines, nobody breathing on your food...and real tablecloths! The food was delicious. Eggs cooked just the way we like them, thick bacon, biscuits and gravy (!), and a bunch more. And really nice folks. Unfortunately, the one thing you miss out on is watching them wash your dishes like some other places, but hey, ya' gotta take the bad with the good. We'll be back for their dinner (steaks...real steaks, not the frozen kind) and brunch. We know where we'll be going for a veggie plate, too.
  22. I collect books on close up magic. Got any for sale?
  23. Down with stupid, idiotic, uneducated folls.
