I would go to Galts Ferry or even Knox Bridge. The area around Red Top is like riding in a washing machine on weekends. For what it's worth, I avoid Allatoona at all costs from mid-May through mid-October. Carters is a nice lake but it doesn't take long to cruise the entire lake. Weedowee is another nice lake that is about the same distance as Carters but in Alabama.

BTW, I do agree with everything you said here. I just don't like be played for a fool by the politicians and the media.
