    Sad Sad Sad

You are correct. I restored a 93 building ghetto in 1989. Out of the 93 buildings with 10 apartments in each building (that is 930 apartments) I probably saw 10 families that would not fit into the ghetto stereotype. But now that complex along with almost every other public housing complex in Atlanta has been demolished and the residents have been given vouchers to buy houses right here among us. So now we get to pay for our house and help pay for our neighbors. And that is where a lot of the ghetto class people are coming from.
  2. The son of the man that owned the feed mill in Hiram is who built it and owned the Cotton Gin for a long time (possibly still does).
  3. Does it come with Monopoly money to stuff in the garters?
  4. Be glad you didn't go here Jack: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&rel=1"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed&
  5. Who owns the Cotton Gin building now?
  6. Would you try to talk him into running for governor?
  7. That's right. If they can survive the curse of the Cotton Gin they will have to be good.
  8. They are moving. Now I can't remember where I was told they were moving to.
  9. I would taste it first. Most of those marinates are so salty it will ruin something to cook in it.
  10. You are right. These kids are amazing and so are you parents. Please keep us posted on Ansley.
  11. In case anyone is interested, the WSB Careathon raised $1,274,510.00 plus pledges that are yet to be counted. In a bad economy. Not bad.
  12. I don't know how these people work with these kids every day. They must be totally wrung out by the end of their shift. $125,000 in the last half hour. It's over at 6.
  13. Last hour. AFLAC is matching every dollar donated during the next hour up to $250,000. Feels good doesn't it?
  14. They raised $50,000 in 45 minutes. There are more good people than bad people.
  15. I'm really sorry about your loss. You know I'm not the touchy-feely type but this got to me today. I am blessed with four beautiful and healthy grandkids. Hearing some of these stories made me realize just how blessed we are.
  16. Go get 'em p.com. Times are tough but nothing compared to what these kids and their families are dealing with.
  17. Thanks Beach. I also stopped by The Barbecue House on Thornton and got two Yellow Jacket dogs and a peach pie. Capt. Herb Emory is donating $1.00 for every YJ dog sold today and Mark Arum is kicking in $1.00 for every fried pie sold today. This is the most feel good you can get in exchange for money.
  18. I don't know if I can do this or not. I'm sure someone will fix it if I can't. But if you would like to listen in on this fund raiser while you're surfing p.com here is the link: http://wsbradio.com/ Just go to live broadcast.
  19. The little girl that has a brain tumor is Emmy. Anyone know them? Another worthy cause folks. Call 1-888-750-2772 to donate. $25 for each healthy child or grandchild you have seems like a good round number. Listen to it a little while. They had me wiping away tears from Bass Pro Shops all the way to Hiram.
  20. Okay. Could you ask your hubby to stop coming to my door on Saturday mornings please.
