We don't do anything. I'm too cheap to pay to go out just because the calendar says so. I'd much rather go out spontaneously. We are both retired so we have all the time in the world to spend together (finally). After having him overseas for so many years, every day he is home is special to both of us. Sappy, yes.

No. If offer them a ride, I don't want their money. It's an act of kindness not a business venture.

Yeah, I don't think the MRI of my abdomen required activity in my brain (good thing because there's not much going on up there).

I lived in MA (outide the I495 corridor) for a few years and had the pleasure of experiencing the 2003 blizzard. We had 3 feet fall and had at least 2-3 feet already on the ground. The snow was so high, we could no longer shovel because we couldn't throw it any higher. Spent my wedding anniversary digging our plow out of a 10 foot high pile of snow. And I didn't receive mail for almost a month because the mail person could not get to our mailbox. My stepson still lives up there and loves the snow. There's a reason why I'm moving to a tropical climate Edited: my husband is fr -
It is quite loud. When I had one last year, the headphones didn't work so I heard every loud thump and bump.

I'm telling you because he thought he'd be fine and was not. The open MRI isn't as "open" as you'd think. He has to take valium now before an MRI. If you are worried, ask your doc for a valium to take before you get there.

There were bidets (or hand sprayers) in every bathroom I went into in the Middle East. They definitelly love their bidets over there.

my husband had an open MRI and still had a panic attack.

"Dream Weaver". Who the hell listened to that crrrapity crap? "That Smell" by Lynard Skynard. Yeah, yeah, LS is good but "That Smell" was basically written as fodder for fart jokes.

My husband's military retirement is taxed by both federal AND state.

I had work done on my front porch, which included replacing and repainting a lot of beadboard, trim, etc. Because it was the front of my house, insurance also paid to have every other window on the front of my house painted so it would match correctly. I'd assume that every company is different.

Giggling woman flips judge the bird, judge not amused

I saw this on the news and I couldn't figure out *why* it made the news. This kind of disrespect and idiocy takes place every day in court. It's amazing the actions of morons when placed in front of a judge. -

I know momof3 is an extraordinarily gracious and caring person who does wonderful things for absolute strangers. -
Wow, a grandmother acting younger than her grandkids. Looks like someone needs to take their toys and go home.

My husband cited this crap ass study while unloading/loading the dishwasher yesterday. I loathe the person who wrote the article because I have a feeling I'll hear about it for years to come. -
There is a small Exchange, we go there to buy booze sometimes if we are in the area. And their Yankee candles are cheaper too. But I'd NEVER go out of my way to go there, it's teeny. There is no commissary for groceries.

I was just there and didn't see anything. http://www.ajc.com/news/news/local/military-retirees-feel-betrayed-with-commissary-cl/nQwwK/ Article from 2011 says it's never been funded....

I don't even remember LOL I was taking it for vertigo. My life was literally and figuratively upside down back then. Ugh, just thinking about that drug makes me angry.
