  1. One of the five, Jeff Conaway, died of complications from Pneumonia.
  2. You are talking about a dog, right? While I'd never, ever condone animal abuse, I just do not believe a human life and a dog's life are comparable.
  3. My first thought as well.....
  4. My husband has herniated cervical disks. Because of the herniation (and shoulder issues) he was plagued with debilitating headaches. He tried everything, physical therapy, pain killers, etc. After exhausting almost every option other than surgery, he tried acupuncture. He is not the type to believe in any "alternative" or eastern medicine. But to both our surprise, the acupuncture has helped IMMENSELY! Obviously it does not heal the herniated disk, torn rotator cuff, etc but it does help to substantially reduce his pain and alleviated the headaches. He's now in maintenance phase so he g
  5. I'm so sorry. I cannot begin to fathom the pain and stress you are experiencing right now. I pray that you find answers.
  6. Really? DH has NEVER received one, despite them having the correct phone number. It would help because we usually receive the notice of appointment in the mail AFTER the appointment,
  7. Yes! I absolutely adore our realtor and have used her for years and wouldn't use anyone else. But her picture is JUST.TOO.MUCH! She looks like she should be an extra in a Whitesnake video.
  8. I have ALWAYS wondered this. And why is it that the pictures are always wayyyyyyyy out of date?
  9. I don't eat a lot of meat and never beef. But I do eat buffalo exclusively. So every time I see buffalo/bison on sale, I snatch it up ($8.99lb is great nowadays). I also buy turkey legs, breast, and ground white when it's on sale or marked down for quick sale. Otherwise I go to Harry's and splurge.
  10. I would be irritated if my waiter/waitress informed me of the amount of an item on the menu. So, no, they should not tell me how much it costs if I order another item. Chalk it up as a learning experience and carry on.
  11. You'll LOVE it! I couldn't live without mine.
  12. Wheatgrass is excellent for you but it's hard to get it in it's best state. To get all the benefits, it needs to be juiced and drank almost immediately. Even the juicer used can destroy it if it's a centrifugal juicer. Any heat will destroy all the nutrients so pasteurized juices are worthless. A masticating or wheatgrass juicer would be the only way to get all the benefits of drinking grass. You can buy wheatgrass and grow your own but it seems like too much of a pain for me. I opt instead to juice kale and other beneficial leafy greens.
  13. The "c" word above had way more than 4 letters. So I read it as something completely different than "The C Word". Just how I saw it. Carry on.
  14. I like pricey and inexpensive foods, so long as they are worth the $$$. I'd never berate anyone for spending an evening out with their loved one's regardless of the cost. I think we'd all spend some money to have a beautiful evening out with those that we love the most. I'll forgo multiple channels on cable, smart phone, a few coffees at Starbuck's, etc etc if it means I get a quality outing with someone who means the world to me. If someone has the money, enjoy it. Life is too short.
  15. I'm sloth-like slow lately. Sorry. Wonder if we were thinking of the same PA post(s). There's been at least three that I can count off the top of my head.
  16. Used them for a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. I had no complaints whatsoever. The prices were no more inflated than if I had bought them directly.
  17. ewww, Sylvester Stallone's MOTHER! SCARIEST WOMAN EVER. :o Google her if you dare.
  18. I parked next to a white van at Home Depot yesterday. On the side of the van, it said "Cryolife-life restoring technologies". I wondered if Ted Williams' head was in there. The mental image of a frozen head on a tuna can in a white, windowless van at Home Depot=creepy.
  19. We lived in Sterling, MA (home of Mary and her little lamb). My stepson lives in Worcester. My inlaws live in and around Lewiston-Auburn, ME. We only visit in the warm months.
  20. When grown men say, "I've been a bad boy". Creepy.
  21. cotton balls and bags along the side of the road. Oh, and peanut butter on a knife in the sink. YUCK!
  22. I'd rather have a Pable or Enrique. DH thinks I have "Lance Corporal Coconut" in the house.
  23. I'd spend more time in San Diego and less in the LA area. I hated Disneyland. There's just no comparison to Disney World. Five days seems like a lot for Disneyland area. There is so much more to do in the San Diego area (the zoo, Balboa Park, Wild Animal Park, Gaslamp, the beaches (PB, MB, La Jolla Shores), drive out to Julian, Big Bear just for a few ideas.
