  1. If you have a cassette player and a computer, you can do it yourself...just a matter of knowing how. With a free program like Audio Grabber, it's a piece of cake. You just need a cord that's stereo RCA's on one end and a 1/8" stereo jack on the other (like the kind you plug into the back of your oomputer. The RCA's are usually what's on a standard cassette player. Plug the RCA's to the OUT on the player, and plug the other end into your LINE jack on the comp. Open the program and test your input signal, set it, then off you go.
  2. It feels pretty good out there right now though....cloudy, low heat.
  3. You can, but ether is much better and faster, and leaves no residue!
  4. Yeah, congrats!!! Now, you can finally get a mower that wasn't built in the 1970's!!!!
  5. What he said. WD40 can deteriorate some synthetic rubbers, and other materials. I know some music techs that tried it in potentiometers (pots) which are the adjustment knobs on a variety of audio equipment...works for a while, then starts degrading the carbon stripping, which will destroy the pots altogether. On the flip side of the coin, if you wash and blow dry your mower off, soak a rag in WD40 and wipe down the deck, and it will repel rust, and help your deck survive a number of years longer. This same rule applies to anything that is subject to rain, dew, and moisture, as WD40 is simp
  6. Would love to do it for you. If you wouldn't mind, visit my website for policy changes I've had to make recently, regarding deposits and stuff. And give me a call anytime from noon, on. Thanks! Glenn 678-315-8794
  7. Oh Lordy!!! Don't get me started on that! We PLAYED OUTSIDE all day long. Heat didn't bother us one bit. I'm getting delirious form the heat now, but you still get used to it. What kills me is that KIDS THESE DAYS, lie on their beds or on the couch in the AC and play freaking games all day. And, to think that they are the ones who will be running things one day- it's the scariest damned vision I have ever seen in my life. My goal is to keep on working in the heat, in hopes that a fatal stroke will take me out before my life insurance lapses! Either way, I will get some relief!
  8. It's a simple concept to reverse things...lower taxes. levy tarrifs, and hire quality workers again....while removing the govm't tit from the mouths of people who need incentive to do something to make money. Folks, it's a plain truth....while having a blanket to fall on until you find another job is a helpful thing, it is also an addiction that can cause many people to WAIT, and start looking after at least the first whole month off....that's all it takes to ruin you in your aggressive pursuit of finding work. JMO.
  9. You might oughta have someone look into that. My AC has to run pretty much all day and night- (perhaps a 4 hour rest at night) before it's all on again. Plus I run air compressors (3) and more stuff than I used to. My bill was about $225 this month...yep...I was blown away and expected double that. Saw they installed a new meter.....I am liking my new meter so far.
  10. I freeze 2 gallons of water a day, and pretty much drink them both by 4 or 5 p.m. No problem there.
  11. Me too. It is sad that too many people don't understand the fundamentals of a free market society.
  12. You can get either a "bullet" or a "mayberry"...the latter being a positive mark. In some 7 or so years I never received a bullet ever (which is a warning), but somehow I have received more mayberries than I can count. Pretty simply...if you disagree with someone, then by all means voice your rebuttal....but try to be CIVIL. Name calling, and engaging in immature cyber fights does no one any good. It can also get you a bullet. I often wonder why it's so hard for so many people to have a debate with each other without resorting to what amounts to "childhood playground fights", all out here for
  13. Okay...thanks. That would have been a great day to take OFF and go fishing, but the fish don't like that heat either. Maybe an air-conditioned gentleman's club would be in order???
  14. Thank you for the support. I was afraid that I might lose customers based on my "calling it like it is" post. But, I mean come on...enough is enough, and people really need to wake up....perhaps get some more education, etc. Gee whizz...I don't know. It's just baffling that people can "read" something and believe it, while they watch their family and friends get tossed out of their homes and jobs. As long as the government continues to pee away our tax money, more and more people are operating off the grid. Can I blame them? Hell no, I can't. If you were giving money to your teenager and found
  15. I found this retard on you-tube....sorry to fall off subject. Back on topic...Long time friend!!
  16. If it's loaded with rain, then I'm all for it. Someone told me we're looking at 100 degree days this week...I'm getting nauseous just thinking about it. Ugghh!!
  17. My little brother had something like 400 of them. He collected Hotwheels, while I built model cars and trucks. Back on topic....Everglades!!
  18. I think you're DEAD RIGHT!!! I still remember all the small minded idiots who made fun of Ross Perot for trying to WARN us about such things as unregulated Global Trade. Well....who's laughing now? Unfortunately, the majority of young people I know have no idea what I'm talking about. We were warned, and our idiotic society waved this man off as a nut-case...a man who was extremely good at running American business, and knew exactly what he was talking about. The really sad thing is that the American public paid more attention to how much better Clinton looked than how much smarter Perot actua
  19. I give it approx. 15-20 years for a rebound....I have gone thru the late 80's, 1990 crap...I kept my job, while everyone else LOST theirs. What we have here now, is NO COMPARISON to what was happening then. Read what you want to.....believe the horse crap if you choose to. Smoke and mirrors, my friend. Be ye not deceived....we are in the WORST DEPRESSION in this century. Wake up and smell the coffee....it stinks to high Heaven. You know I think highly of you, and I appreciate your bizz....but let's be truthful about this. You can garner all the positive (and false info) you want to....but 99%
  20. Regarding wind powered generators.....this is a goldmine, since the wind constantly blows throughout the Midwest....and blows very strongly almost all the time. All this requires is better built windmills....you could, for instance, change the vein designs (which are a joke from the ones I have seen) to drive much more efficient generators, as well as much larger generators. Solar power also remains a viable and constant source of energy, if properly harnessed. The problem (whether you want to believe in conspiracies or not) is that the petro lobbyist pay these designers a CRAP LOAD of money,
  21. I finally got my main straightened out. Don't ask me how, but somehow the boot order got flipped around, so my machine was trying to boot from a slave with no OS on it. I'm glad I got it fixed, because I had so much info that still wasn't backed up. Wheewww!!
  22. just after 3....dog-dead tired. My computer's BIOS decided it wanted to boot up with one of my slave drives. Took me about an hour to figure that one out! I think I'll just remove some of them, so this feeble critter doesn't get confused. Scared the living crap outa me!! It's all good now though. And I'm off to bed....about 2 hours too late! Yall have a great night...what's left of it.
  23. OMG!!!! I literally LOST my damned comp for about an hour. I think it's time to get another one, or just take one of those NICE ones I built for the kids..back away. They do everything on their phone anyway.
  24. I've heard stories about the area. Best of luck, and remain vigilant!! I'm glad I live in a well-armed S/D who's residents all have different schedules, meaning there's always an eye out 24/7. And yes...it IS a sign of the times. People are destitute and even normally law-abiding citizens are now having to resort to crazy things to survive. Sad....but true. It will get a lot worse before it gets any better, so everyone should be vigilant, and always aware of what's going on in their area.
