  1. Apparently I did. Sorry I didn't have time to read everything, but I was duly notified via PM's. I'm still a little pressed for time today, but I PROMISE I will read the FIRST opening post!! Right now, in fact. In the meantime, you folks are welcome to point and laugh away!!
  2. My daughter's friend has been trying to find his wallet for a few days....sending PM now. Oh....nevermind. Different person. He's still missing his wallet though.
  3. Uhh...there's a LOT of here-say and disinformation out there folks. Don't believe everything you hear. A well designed air cooled engine should be able to operate non-stop for many, many hours. I have no idea what this "needle" thing is you're talking about???? The only needle is in the carburetor, and it functions just like your toilet does. If you're oil is fresh, and you keep the veins on the flywheel blown out with an air compressor, a 2 or 4 stroke engine can run all day and night with no problem. The only problem with small engines today is the CRAP gas, laced with 10% or more ethanol. Y
  4. You're welcome, sir!!! Now just keep your fingers crossed while I try to get the county to work with me on expanding business, rather than working against me, while in the process of still trying to build a successful one that would contribute to everyone who lives here, as well as to the county tax base. No matter how you look at it, my investors are going to place me where ever they find it the most cost efficient to get things up and running, which could mean opening up shop in a neighboring county. We'll have to just wait and see how things go in the next month.
  5. You've got my vote. The CRAP that I hear my kids listening to would make Satan blush!! Pure filth, with absolutely no artistic merit whatsoever. Garbage, only in concentrated form....like MSG is to salt. I liked some of the big hair bands, but most of the 80's I liked were Molly Hatchet, Greg Allman, AC/DC, 38 Special...ya know...the southern stuff!! I also loved the grunge of the 90's, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, anything with Chris Cornell, Alice in Chains, etc. Someone mentioned the Ozz with the one and only Randy Rhoads. It never got any better than that....oh yeah, and Stevie Ray Vaughn!!
  6. I think you covered it all....it's the combo. Personally, I see cell phones as one of the worst things ever invented to rob a child's life from any real meaning or experiences that they're missing out on.
  7. I'm 46, so that's the class of '83. When I was 7-8, momma gave us an old spoon to crave out highways in the dirt for our Hot-Wheels, and during a good rain, we would build dams in the raodside ditch to make enough pond to play in. We stripped down to our underwear on the back porch so dad could hose the mud off us, before we could come inside for a bath. There were 4 channels on TV (2,5,11, and the amazing 17!!) We went squirrel hunting when we were only 7 years old. If we didn't pull the bolt back on our rifles as soon as dad handed them to us, then he took them back, put them away, and no h
  8. A hairline fracture maybe, in comparison. Besides, according to law, when tricky Dick resigned, that's the way the system works, until the next election, or an impeachment occurs.
  9. I think Social Security should have been abolished once the Depression ended. Then PRIOR to S.S. go back the way people handled it before- SAVE YOUR OWN MONEY FOR YOUR OWN RETIREMENT. I know just way too many folks who continue to work AFTER their retirement. Most will tell you that when you stop working, your brain goes next, then your health declines. I often play with musicians who are in their 80's, and they do all they can to stay busy, as well as make some money, since SS don't pay much anyway. They tell me that being idle makes them feel like they'll die even sooner. And they're probabl
  10. Not to stray from the topic, but OUR government kills thousands of people every year. Of course, the media always follows its orders and spoon feeds us lies to justify their cause...and the American public (most of them, especially younger, less experienced citizens) lap it up like cat's milk. While I don't know the whole story about this particular case, I know to see that he did have an agenda, just like we do when we ravage a country (ours is to create jobs for contractors, once we've blown the place to hell). Regarding violence, that should always be a last resort. Having said that, ou
  11. Didn't know they could do that, but it sounds like the perfect Obama method for continuing to bail out all the big banks with money they don't have. It would make more sense to me to offer some sort of help from the mortgage company to the occupant, so they could get back on their feet, and go ahead and continue to pay their mortgage, after getting back to work. This way, not only does the bank get the cost of the house, but 2-3 times the cost of the house, since all that interest adds up.
  12. This is ONE reaons why banks (some of them anyway) are trying to help keep people in their homes. If they foreclose, not only have they lost HALF of what the house was worth at the time it was bought, but with pissed off people tearing the places apart, the banks lose even more. All I can see is incentive for the banks to give a leg up to people who are in between jobs and looking for employment. Unfortunately, many lending institutions haven't caught on to this, and they end up shooting themselves in the foot.
  13. I may be pissed off that my mortgage company has no interest in working with me on my mortgage falling behind. But, I've better things to do than ravage "their" house after I get booted out. There's no need in doing such thing, since the house depreciates dramatically, once the occupants have left, so enough is enough, as they would say. I doubt the removal of the toilets will pose a fire hazard, much less, a health hazard to anyone outside the home. But it will sure make one hell of a stench that won't easily be removed. Not to mention, rampant fly infestation and maggots to follow.
  14. What is it with you and Paulding County? Do you live here? If you don't like it, and you live here, then perhaps you should take a long look in the mirror. Your choices on where to live seem to conflict with your biased opinion of those who surround you. This, in essence, shows your intelligence quotient at far below what you apparently think it is. I am reminded of one of those short little critters that lives under a bridge...a.k.a. a TROLL.
  15. I seriously doubt that being a Yankee has anything to do with being put on ignore....probably has more to do with your prejudice against southerners. Some of my best friends are from New York, from Syracuse to Buffalo, to NYC. But they all have an open mind, and fit in quite well here. However, I DO agree with your statement that Winehouse's talent was all but non-existent. She made her way to the top via media hype, as many other mediocre celebrities have. Her own lyrics were an embracing of her irresponsible life style.
  16. Now, it all makes sense. How insightful!!
  17. Okay y'all...what's up with this "famous" stuff?? Notorious, maybe! Mrs. Russell, you probably feel like you have because I've been blabbering on this site for many years. I reckon after a while long time regulars just get stuck in your head.....perhaps?
  18. I remember those all too well. I think it has a lot to do with people having to work TWO or more jobs now to make the same or still less money than they did just a few years ago before everything went to hell. I miss all of that too!
  19. BTW, your company did a jam-up job on my computer!!
  20. You know that's right!!! What a sweet lady, she is! I know I'm navel-lint, but she and I go way back. It was great seeing you, Sadie!
  21. A lot of people need to be voted out, for sure. I'm SO CLOSE to letting the bank take my house, so I can move somewhere that makes sense on the government level....I know....good luck with that! It's just pitiful, and it all starts on the Federal level with a bunch of goobers who couldn't balance a check book if their lives depended on it. It's not the (former) middle-class- who is now the lower class that can't afford to pay their bills, it's at the top of the food chain. The country pays MORE in interest on loans than on the principle; to such a high ratio that I doubt they'll ever get abov
  22. Just let me know when. Glenn
  23. I have a cassette player, rather high-end quality model you are welcome to borrow if you want, along with the necessary cord. Just let me know.
  24. I should have left out words like RCA and 1/8" plug!!!
