  1. As far as holiday candy goes for me...it makes all holidays a great excuse for CHOCOLATE! Num, num, nummmm.
  2. I was watching the Weather Channel for about 10 minutes this afternoon, I could have sworn they said another group of dead birds were found outside of Louisiana and Arkansas. I don't have time to research it right now, maybe later.
  3.      :good: :clapping: I LOVE IT! It is so true, especially the parts about outrunning a bullet and menopause! Oh I am crying!
  4. Does the baby stay up in your rib cage a lot or does it stay lower? Do you have a lot of heartburn? A picture would help us! Congratulations!
  5. It's not the first time in that area and I doubt it will be the last. I am glad no one was hurt.
  6. Hubby has used Dr. Gary M. Jacobson with Vascular Surgical Associates here in Hiram and he is GREAT! He has really deep varicose veins that are apparently inherited from his mother as she has also needed surgery on hers. The VNUS procedure is what he had done. The cost was PER LEG not per vein. The doctor goes into a tiny 3/4-1" incision in a large vein within the upper thigh using a catheter and then applies radio frequency to the vein wall. This does something to the valve in that large vein so that the blood no longer "pools" in the smaller, lower veins and capillaries. The pooling is usual
  7. I am still looking for the Southern Sweet Tea.
  8. Thank you but I already have the Special Edition Keurig with the water reservoir. I was asking about the chocolate glazed Kcups. I will check at Bed Bath & Beyond the next time I go to Town Center. Douglasville is too far for me to shop, unless it is for something special that I can find no where else.
  9. Hubby's company holidays in December were for 2 four day weekends. However, during both of the 4 day weekends, he worked the Thursdays, Fridays & Sundays while the rest of the company had off. He has been driving back and forth between here and NE Tennessee. Yes, we both feel very blessed that he has his job. He is just tired and I am a little grumpy over the way his work schedule was arranged during the holidays. We saved his vacation during the year so that he could take his normal week off between Christmas and New Year, but this time he couldn't take it off.
  10. Did you purchase this one at Bed Bath & Beyond? I think I am past due for a trip to the Town Center area, as my list has been growing.
  11. I like the tornado idea. Not all tornados touch down. One could have stayed in the clouds and caused harm to the birds. Although the first reports came in at 11:30pm and that late at night the birds should have been settled in.
  12. LaZBoy hands down! My grandmother had LaZBoy in a couch and rocker-recliner and loved them. For several years now we have had a LaZBoy livingroom set. The couch and loveseat are made for a short person like myself to touch the floor with my feet and still have my back against the couch. This is important if you have low back pain and I am only 5'1". My husband is a big man 6'1" and he has a very large recliner that he loves. All 3 pieces are covered in the same upholstery so they match. LaZBoy has a huge selection of fabric and leather upholstery to choose from. You just choose the product tha
  13. Since it happened New Years Eve and the birds are reported to have suffered physical trauma, then I am guessing shot gun pellets from celebrations.
  14. Yeppers. Our first kiss was millenium new years eve, during the count down. Both of you are my heroes. You can make up to each other later.
  15. When I was younger I always ordered medium-well with just a touch of light pink on the inside. Now I order them rare! Rare but warm to hot, not cool. I do not know what changed in my taste buds but something did. I also like olives now and didn't use too. I am so glad I have a hubby who is a good cook. He makes the best steak I have ever tasted. However, I will plan to take him by Montana Ted's for a bison steak. That sounds pretty good.
  16. When I use to go they had pit passes that you could buy. These passes would allow into a "pit area" before the show. You could see the trucks or motorcycles up close, take pictures and sometimes get an autograph. If you do this then make sure to watch him carefully, as some of the vehicles may have work being done on them.
  17. I did a little research. Apparently several DHC shows will now be on FitTv. Dr. G: Medical Examiner, Untold Stories of the ER, Trauma: Life in the ER, I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant, and several others. On DirecTv channel 261. I do not know what the Comcast channel number is. http://fittv.discovery.com/ Dr. G has a marathon starting at 9am. Dr. G on FaceBook: http://www.facebook.com/DrGME
  18. That is EXACTLY how I feel! Late last night/early morning (after NYE celebrating) I felt so lost without my DHC. I really hope Dr. G and Trauma Life in the ER isn't going any where. I know I seen "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" listed on another channel this evening while looking through my DirecTv channel/menu screen. I think it was A&E. I do know I absolutely hate every single commercial break they are saying Oprah this or that. I am beginning to hate hearing her name!
  19. The ProForm 600 model at Sports Authority. I have been watching the price since summer and it went back on sale after Thanksgiving. It is very long though (77 inches), so we had to clean out 1/2 of my storage room in the basement to make room for it. I was already planning to convert the room over.
  20. It's a blast from the past! How are you Tow?
  21. Did anyone else notice from the video that the animal appears hairless but yet has long whiskers? The DNA will be tested after the first of the year. Meanwhile, it is being kept frozen. IF the hair hasn't been removed then I bet it has a DNA mutation like the hairless cat. OMG that is the first thing I thought! I guess like minds? "They killed Kenny!" "You b*st*rds!" HAHAHAHA!!!
  22. I agree with CRR. Even if you keep your tetanus shot up to date you will still need an ADDITIONAL shot when your skin is punctured by anything metal. My grandfather once had one of those huge 16 penny nails go through his steel toed work boot, his foot and come out of the top of his boot. He didn't call anyone to come help or even tell about it. We came by for a visit and found him passed out on the floor with blood every where! I stayed with him while my mom got my uncle who lived across the street and the uncle took him to the ER. If you don't get a tetanus shot you can develop lock jaw or o
