Ringer with Sarah Michelle Gellar. The pilot show was a little hard to follow but very interesting. There are also a couple of new paranormal shows on Scifi.

Has anyone called the fire dept. to see what is going on? If it's all over the county then someone must have been burning off fields.

Between 9-9:30 pm I experienced the same thing along the Hiram stretch of 278. I could see or drove through at least 2 miles of smoke hanging around the parking lots and roads. I really wish people would realize that we have an outdoor burn ban until October 1st that was implemented by the state. From what I have seen online it looks as if we will have a burn ban from May-October every year. I have a slight case of asthma that the smoke causes to flare up and it can develop into bronchitis. There are others in Paulding with much more serious breathing problems like COPD and emphesema. I really

I do something like this but not with bread crumbs. I simply use barbeque sauce on the chicken and you would be surprised how the smokey flavor of the ham goes well with barbeque sauce. Any leftovers make a great chicken sandwich.

Is this in the area of the New Hope crossroads?

I went to your link and found another link with this info: "When Will the CALM Act Take Effect? The CALM Act gives the FCC until December 15, 2011 to create and adopt rules - federal regulations -- by which the CALM Act will be enforced. One year following the date on which the FCC's CALM Act regulations are adopted, TV broadcasters, including all standard, cable and satellite broadcasters, will be required to comply with the regulations." The article is dated August 24, 2011. Here is the link to this info. http://usgovinfo.abo...Be-Enforced.htm

   I HEAR YOU, LOUD AND CLEAR! I noticed it over a year ago and they just keep getting louder. My ears already ring loudly from my fibromyalgia, but these commercials make it worse.

Here is some info on it. It sounds like she needs to go in and speak with an unemployment counselor. Read section 300-2-4-.09. Partial Unemployment http://www.dol.state.ga.us/pdf/rules/300_2_4.pdf

Ohhhh, I just remembered. One year I got my husband a nice terry 100% cotton bath robe. The very long, big and plush kind. He loved it! JcPenney's catalog carries them in the big and tall sizes.

From Paulding.gov Fire Dept. FAQ "Is outdoor burning permitted?" Actually we have an outdoor burn ban until October 1st that was issued by the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division. Without a permit anyone burning outdoors right now could face a fine. Not to mention, even with the recent rains, we are still in a summer drought and the trees are parched! Trying to burn anything outdoors right now could lead to someone's house catching fire. I am not trying to be a fire Nazi, but it worries me that lately so many people are having outdoor fires in these conditions. In my life I hav

That is what I was thinking, then I read down and seen you had posted it! Very nice, high thread count, Egyptian cotton sheets, spread with rose petals, with candles burning in the background. Hehe

I agree DeeWee. An 8 year veteran and was 2009 state police officer of the year. All gone.

Regarding parking in the road or street: It is illegal on a Paulding county road and it is probably also illegal on a city of Dallas or city of Hiram road or street. You can report it to the Paulding County Marshal's Office at (770) 443-9768 or the Paulding County Sheriff's Office at their non-emergency number (770) 445-2117. Ordinance link "Sec. 62-63. - Unlawful use of county road. (a Subsections (h) and (i) of this section shall not apply to county roads designated as primary access routes. (b No person shall park or cause to be parked, on any county road or any property ma

Why Stores Sell Halloween Stuff Before Labor Day
msgastorm replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think it is because the top 2 holidays that the U.S. decorates the most for are Halloween and Christmas. Putting the decorations out early allows time before the holiday to get a ton of decorating done. It gets the creative juices flowing! -
I am so sorry for your loss Garesident. We have been seeing Dr. Meeker for our cats since my oldest was 2 months old, she has asthma and turns 11 years old this weekend! We absolutely love Dr. Meeker. She has a huge tender heart for her animal patients as well as their humans. Several years ago we had to put down one of our male cats named Angel. He was in a lot of pain and no one could figure out why. Dr. Meeker was out of town so we took Angel to Dr. Carpenter. By the time I had to have Angel put down Dr. Meeker was back in town and she helped me through it. It was the first time

It's on the way! LOTS of rain but some of it will not be slow and steady. Sunday night and all day Monday some of the storms may contain very heavy rain. The National Weather Service has issued a hydrologic outlook that states "BY TUESDAY...TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES ARE EXPECTED NORTH OF A LINE FROM NEAR CARROLLTON...TO GAINESVILLE". Oh and some of the wind gusts may be up to 15 mph, so you may want to store the patio furniture and other yard items. Here is the forecast for Dallas, GA. NWS forecast for Dallas, GA

I'm looking for a trash service that offers recycling
msgastorm replied to Olive Oyl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We live in NE Paulding and have used Waste Industries for just the trash for several years. A few months ago we changed to their trash+recycling program and our quarterly bill went DOWN! They brought us a smaller blue can for recycling. It is smaller than our large green can but still very large for just the recycling. While they do not require that the recycling be separated, I still separate it into marked bags to make things easier for them. Separating it also allows me to take out the stinky cat food cans (aluminum) more often than the weekly bag of plastics. -
Did he say anything about whether or not it is safe to take with meds? By the way, your link does not work, even when adding .com to the end.

I have to take it 3-4 times a day for the tightness in my muscles due to my fibromyalgia. No problems here with it, except that it may not be strong enough for my problem. I take the generic, which is methocarbamol, in 500mg tablets.

Dr. Wendy Meeker @ Hiram Animal Hospital. We use her for our 4 cats and love her! She seems to have a genuine affection for the animals and has stayed late to help me say goodbye to my Angel. She offers a multi pet discount, which helps. Dr. Johnson, at the same location, also seems great.

Anybody else suffering from these allergies or a cold?
msgastorm replied to em1973's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes, there is a nasty head cold going around. I was sick for a week and a half with every symptom of the flu except for body aches and spent the entire time at home eating frozen dinners because I needed to go to the grocery store. I was SO glad to leave the house Tuesday! Because of my fibromyalgia the flu will give me VERY severe body aches and I didn't have them with this virus, so I know it was a cold. Also, I almost never run a fever with anything and I ran a 3 day fever. I still have a little bit of a cough and I am having to use my inhaler every day, neither of which is normal for me. I -
Did you adopt a new doggie? Pics!!

Thank you KVNCRDN. For those that don't like the Olive Garden that is fine, you are entitled to your opinion and I do not have a problem with that. I think the Olive Garden and some other restaurants are fine for when I am alone. Then there are the times that hubby and I are together and we will sometimes go to nicer restaurants. I am flexible and can do both. Edited to add: The topic that I started which asked about the Olive Garden was not titled "another chain restaurant coming to Hiram". I am guessing that a mod renamed it, but I am not sure why when I did not use the Olive Garden na
