  1. This whole discussion would be a non-issue if Karen Handel had won over Deal.
  2. Yep, in their world, "The road is my ashtray."
  3. Most Asian cars are missing ashtrays and turn signals - they are ordered "ash tray and turn signal delete."
  4. For me, love means letting your spouse be who he or she is because you love them and vice versa. I have many faults, but, my wife accepts me as I am and has never tried to change me. For this alone, I love her.
  5. You're right and I apologize for being a jerk.
  6. I could swear you are talking about Barnes.
  7. Amy and I dated most of one year when I lived up in Minnesota. I came back here alone and we decided to marry about 9 months after that. Yup, I'd do it this way again - except, Amy says, "You're stuck with me."
  8. I have doubts about the bait system. I think of it as a system that attracts termites. I use the liquid system - Termidor. We've had no problems since we started using Termidor 3-4 years ago, Before that, we had infestations. I asked my termite guy about the bait systems and he said, "Why would you want to attract termites? If you use Sentricon, you should use both systems and have a barrier around the perimeter of your house." I pay $135 per year which includes inspection around the perimeter of my house and insurance for damage repair. I recall paying about $600.00 for my initial treatme
  9. I owned a timeshare in Kissimmee about 3/4 of a mile from Disney for 20 years. I got rid of it about four years ago because the annual maintenance + membership in the exchange company plus exchange fees were costing me the same as a week in a hotel. For us, they do not offer value - although I did some really great exchanges in the early years. Most timeshares have no resale value unless they are somewhere in high demand. like Hawaii.
  10. Delta was put in the corner by Airtran which offers one way flights in Delta's markets. We often fly Airtran when they are less expensive. But, Delta is often competitive. For example, my wife and I are flying to Ft. Lauderdale in early May of 2011 to leave on a cruise. Delta's price of 81.50 each total was less than Airtan's price.
  11. This should be interesting. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/southwest-airlines-to-buy-airtran-for-14-billion-2010-09-27
  12. You must be a lawyer, work with one, or be married to one. My message is - check out the lawyer carefully. Make sure that he/she will represent you aggressively and get a settlement that is fair and not one sided.
  13. It is easy to be victimized by lawyers. In the minds of the courts, men are guilty and should pay. My ex sued me for a modification. The best I was able to do was limit the duration by setting a termination of child support at 18 years.
  14. Yep - you cannot trust her one penny's worth.
  15. If the truck is shaking, it is probably out of balance. If the truck pulls to one side or the other, it needs an alignment. Look at your bill and see whether the tire shop charged you for balancing and alignment. If they did, they should redo them for free. If not, they should have done both when they installed new tires. If you need the name of a shop that does great wheel balancing, let me know. They balance my wheels on the machine and then on the car.
  16. Lucky for us, we have that screaming fear-monger and madman, Algore.
  17. Damn! Algore does not want you posting any data that contradict his weather related fear mongering. He thought he had covered his position by changing from "global warming" to "climate change".
  18. I love my 97 Ford Crown Vic and my two old MOPARS. I can generally determine the cause of a problem myself. I have no use for Asian (cookie cutter) cars, including those that are final assembled in the US. Seriously, write down your criteria - what you want in transportation. Use that list and you will narrow down your choices quickly.
  19. She should be turned down - 8 times - and then the state should take the kids.
  20. Check with your current health care provider re coverage out of country. I check before every cruise. I have bought trip insurance - mainly because I am in my 60s and something could happen to ruin the cruise. I buy from: http://www.tripinsurancestore.com/ I always speak to Steve, the owner. He is very knowledgeable and never tries to sell me more than we need. I recommend them over any other insurance site. When you visit their site, you'll see why.
  21. Always remember those who died and those who are guilty of mass murder and destruction.
  22. Greg, we've had Sprint for about 5 years and are located just off Corner Road. No problems with coverage. We're switching to Consumer Cellular to save a few bucks though. If you decide to go w Sprint, I have two good used phones.
  23. I'm not familiar with Calica but: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1253952&highlight=calica Lots about Cozumel here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=210
