I believe you should pay for your own college education - or earn a scholarship and keep it.

I have two old cars with Hobby/Antique tags. They will cost extra too so I may see whether I can cross reference my 67 and 69 GA tags to the current regular tags.

Weather is fine either month. We usually prefer February. I'd pick Cozumel only because you'll be sailing more and will visit more ports. The Bahamas are pretty but are right next door to Florida. Here is a bargain out of New Orleans on the Norwegian Spirit, a beautiful ship: http://www.vacations....cfm?deal=19648 Inside cabins start at 399 for a seven day cruise!! And, you can drive to New Orleans. My wife and I were on this cruise in 2008. We had a fabulous time. If you go to the Bahamas, most of them sail out of South Florida and last only three days - definitely not long enough

There are many cruises leaving from Florida ports that would be convenient for your Mom. Planning everything is half the fun. My wife and I have been working on our cruise for next May since the end of July...flights to shop and book, B&B in Rome, excursions/tours, ordering travel books, etc. etc.

I hope we haven't overwhelmed you with all the information in this thread. You should call Stephanie to advise you and to help you to select a cruise. I know you'll love it.

Information here: http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/get_4855.html There is a form you can download here: http://travel.state.gov/passport/forms/ds11/ds11_842.html You'll need pictures (specific size) and also proof of citizenship Take your package and mail it from the post office - I send with proof of delivery. You can expedite but my experience is that it takes about three weeks for them to send your passport to you.

It's fun to prepare. It makes your cruise more enjoyable.

So true. The best part is that your floating hotel lets you explore several island destinations in a week (or more). You can decide if you would like to come back and stay on an island for a week or more in a future vacation. Best part? I've seen prices on 7 day cruises with a balcony for 549 each. You can't beat that for value. This cruise will be our third with a balcony. My wife says she will never settle for a cabin without a balcony.

When is your cruise? Ours is next May and is eastbound vs your westbound. I assume yours is this fall. Another tip. Check for special packages on the cruiseline's website. I booked a romance package for us on NCL for $79.00 several years ago. I hear they've bumped the price up to about 135 but it is still worth it if the package is the same one we bought. Since the TA we're going on in May is a very special trip, I may book something special and renew our vows on board. Ssshhhh - don't tell MrsPSD!!!

Another tip. Don't book a shorter than 7-day cruise. The 3 and 4 day cruises go by so quickly that you'll be sad it's over. You'll barely have figured out where to find things on the ship. 7-day cruises are so inexpensive, you won't want anything less. Several of our cruises have been 10 and 11 night ones. We enjoyed those even more than the 7 night cruises.

We always avoid casinos. Unfortunately, they are very popular. I've sailed on ten cruises and I rank them in order of my satisfaction: Celebrity - 3 times plus we're doing a Transatlantic next May on the Equinox Royal Caribbean - 3 times Norwegian - 3 times Carnival - sailed once; never again I see Disney as being theme and family oriented. We're not interested. Maybe one day we'll be affluent enough to afford some of the premier lines but we still have Princess on our list. On our last cruise, we booked our own tours - saved money, got as good or better tour than others who used t

Don't forget. The temperature at which the tires are filled may be very different than when you check your tires.

I found the people in Rochester to be wary of "outsiders" too. At least one of them warmed up to me as she has been my wife for almost 14 years. She never wants to experience winter again!!

I have no problem with whatever stickers anyone puts on their car. I generally won't deface any of my vehicles with junk. I did put a McCain-Palin sticker in the rear window of my 97 Ford for three months and removed it after the election.

I lived in Rochester for two years and worked from the day I arrived to get out of there.

I cannot stand Obama but I would never put a sticker on my car.
