  1. I'd keep the bug over anything from Toyota. But, I would probably sell it and buy a Ford.
  2. Maxine loves Pelosi. The AJC is a left wing liberal rag and has been for years. I cancelled my subscription (gleefully) about 5 years ago and now only read my MDJ - a much better newpaper. As long as the editorial staff includes Cynthia Tucker (always on the race card rampage) and Jay Bookman (as extreme as many on the New York Times), the AJC won't be any different than it has been - a hard left DNC talking points rag.
  3. Sorry to hear this bad news, Pat. Prayers said for your father in law and your family.
  4. I've done the Blue Ridge train several times. Lots of fun. I am heading to Ocala to visit Don Garlits museum...driving the Coronet in a caravan of old Chrysler muscle.
  5. Congratulations to Paulette Braddock who was able to ignore (graciously from what I saw) and overcome a vicious pcom smear campaign.
  6. Very classy. I wish all candidates and their families the best today.
  7. If only congress would have done the same, we would not be in the mess we are now.
  8. I voted last week. No way for Barnes. Here comes a runoff.
  9. I stopped using Firefox because I lost the cursor when entering a reply. I had other issues with Firefox (not your problem) that resulted in my having to uninstall it.
  10. We're doing fine. My wife is highly skilled and is still employed. I have managed to secure two contracts in retirement - this helps to supplement my meager pension(s) and will help to pay my upcoming outrageous healthcare premium. Of course, I have been living beneath my means for many years and have savings that will support us once my wife retires. We are also doing things that will enable us to do some part time work in the years to come. My wife and I are taking a two week Transatlantic cruise to Rome next May. Can't wait!!
  11. ...NBC, CBS and (p)MSNBC and they listen to P-BO appease Muslims and tell them that we are not at war with Muslims.
  12. Well said. Our retiree packages have been delayed "to allow additional time to plan for all aspects of enrollment, especially new health care reform rules." I can't comment on premium increases but the word is 14-20% increases over 2010. The full and very negative impacts of Obamacare have not yet hit but they will unless we can put it where the sun don't shine. Maybe when we do, Nancy Pelosi will know what's in it.
  13. I agree re the Fair Tax. But, as you are well aware, toomany politicians, mostly liberal thinking, and the IRS do not want the Fair Tax.
  14. Stupid people are consumed by class envy. I believe that they are truly greedy rather than the "evil rich".
  15. Maybe, but, obviously, NPR is your type of candy. I think FOX does a better job. What's your problem? And, I think you meant to say "Give them.." rather than "Give me.."
  16. Good point. Fox News has a broad audience and is financially successful. NPR ?
  17. ...like eroding NPR's very left wing slant? Let's give equal taxpayer funding to Fox News, just to be fair.
  18. I'd be looking for someone to pick up the kids and take care of them until I got home. You have to compare that to what you make now, the cost of healthcare and the cost of the commute. However, very important - how much do you like your current job. That should be a huge factor.
  19. Pat, thanks for your diligence in resolving this problem.
  20. Or withdrawn from the fat federal budget and returned to taxpayers.
  21. Firefox is blocking PCOM as a threat site. Maybe it is.
  22. As some of you know, I sing bass in Marietta’s Big Chicken Chorus, a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. I invite you and your family and friends to attend one of our upcoming shows. The Big Chicken Chorus will host and perform in three shows this year. Rhubarb Jones will be the MC for all three shows at the Jennie Anderson Theater next to the Cobb Civic Center: Sat Dec 11, 2010 3:00 PM Sat Dec 11, 2010 7:30 PM Sun Dec 12, 2010 3:00 PM Tickets prices are: $17.00 for adults $15.00 for students and children $15.00 for patrons 60 years of age or older $15.00 for gr
  23. NPR = objective? Don't think so. Juan landed on his feet at Fox News. Good for him. NPR sucks and should not receive one penny of taxpayer support.
  24. We have a top loader Maytag that I purchased in January 1996. Not one service call; not on problem in 14 years.
  25. Downtown - usually from 4pm until sunset. You have to arrive earlier to get a parking spot if you are showing a car.
