  1. I love it!! I also siphon water out into other containers when it gets full so I don't miss any of the next rain. They have huge plastic containers at Wally world for 4.99.
  2. I don't want the storms but the little bit of rain we got refilled my water barrel.
  3. I have a Belkin and have the same problem. I have the factory password but would like to make it something we can all remember.
  4. Ok, TY for the ideas and the advice on the type of salmon. Can't wait to try it.
  5. When kids (and dogs) were younger, we did the hiking thing and took a very simple packed lunch. one of our favorites was Sope Creek Park in Cobb cty. ; old ruins of a mill, small stream. We also did Amiacolola Falls (and I can't spell it)! Now, I keep a craft box for my grandkids for when they visit. We do the sidewalk chalk, painting; cooling hose time! It helps that I have a trampoline and swings. I love the zoo although that can get pricey. We also did the Center for Puppetry Arts and they can make a puppet after the show. Picking berries!
  6. I normally do not like fish; but it is so healthy for you. I have learned to really like talapia. I was in NY city last week. At my daughter's rehearsal dinner, I ordered the salmon (I really wanted the four-cheese macaroni with bacon). It practically melted in my mouth. It was not heavily spiced; just delicious. So, how long do you bake or grill it to get to that perfection?

Thanks, I will certainly try it. The coke is really throwing me off. I use coke with ham but never with ground beef.

  10. ok, now you got me going and I had to go read up on the Lindbergh baby and the family. Also interesting.
  11. Thank you for posting. I love reading and learning about historical events. I sure hope they are able to find more information.
  12. I agree with Flossy. Dont make a rule you are not going to enforce. Consequences are a huge part of life. A parent's job is to prepare their child for their future. Disrespect was not tolerated in our home. Respect covers many, many actions: lying, cheating, not contributing to the care of the home, etc. But, pick your battles. I chose to overlook a messy room; ugly clothes, some silly trends; if they had a loving heart, did well in school and treated everyone with respect, I can live with some weirdness!! Open communication is of the utmost importance. Not sure today's ch
  13. Where IS Kevin Costner when you need him! I want to find a place in our community to make clothing donations, etc. where the people in need do not have to pay for them.
  14. I am very impressed with the MUST ministries in Marietta and wondered what is available here in Paulding. Do we have family or homeless shelters here? TIA
  15. Well, hopefully my "Major" and "Buddy" met her as she crossed that Rainbow Bridge and they are romping and playing in a meadow. I nursed Major through distemper when I adopted him from a shelter. (Spoon fed him warm broth and rice). I now have 4 others and dread the day when I will have to make that decision again. My prayers go out to you for comfort!
  16. Yes, that is right. I couldn't believe it myself. They are VERY affectionate together; but no kissing (and nothing else if you get my drift). The minister had to calm her down during the ceremony (as everyone laughed) because she was READY for that kiss! I never thought she would find a man that held the same extremely high morals that she has (especially in NYC) but there he was. They met in church.
  17. Well, my youngest (31) took the plunge on Monday and married a wonderful, marvelous man. A very simple ceremony on a rooftop with the Empire State Building as a back drop. The bouquets looked like the girls went out into a meadow and picked wild flowers. In the dressing room, her "girls" sang her a prayer; not a dry eye in the room. They saved their first kiss until they were pronounced man and wife. The reception was on the 12th floor. Two walls of the venue were windows, when the sun went down there was an incredible view of the NYC city lights and we watched the sunset ov
  18. I have had several appointments at the one in Hiram and have been very pleased. Very kind and very professional.
