I was in the manufacturing end of the food industry for 19 years. Managed their warehouses. Hired many and fired few. If you have experience as a manager and an interviewer you can tell the difference between a "kissy arse" goof and a person who is dressing in respect.. If you can't tell; have other people do your interviewing.

What the heck is going on? Do they have a "nest" in my house? This is crazy. Anyone else having a problem?

They had them at Whole Foods on Saturday but I didn't try them. They were giving out samples. Now I wish I would have tried them.

As my grandma and mom used to say; "colder than a witches tit in a brass brassier". I just remember that saying and have to chuckle.

I would NEVER leave my animals outside on nights like this. the dogs never stay outside at night; the cats do occasionally in warm weather. I try to get the cats in even if it is nice weather because my Gus will come to my bedroom window and meow until I get up and let him in LOL

All my 3 babies slept through the night before they were 1 month old. All my babies started on rice baby cereal mixed with formula at about 2 weeks old; once before bed; first thing in the morning. During the night; no lights in the room we were in; no playing; soft talking; (kissed and cuddled of course); but there was no indication that being awake at that hour was fun. Once when oldest was having a hard time going to bed; Dr. said let her CIO. If she throws up, clean her up; don't get angry; changed sheets and clothes and put her back with hugs and kisses. It took 3 nights.

Manners.............. Do you practice using them in your Family?
MissSophie replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think almost everyone one of them has been taught to my kids. Absolutely; these are great! -
Just wait until he gets home and tells all his friends about his "vacation". LOL

OK; well my family is agreeing to be "very" practical. For my birthday, I wanted a rubber spatula, the small one that would fit into a soup can. I got it plus several of the larger ones - I was thrilled. For Christmas I was a small sauce pan because I burnt the tar out of mine several months ago, I got it plus a griddle which I didn't already have. We have all started buying very small, but useful things for the adults. Ask them for gift cards so you can buy tires next time, etc. Or ask them to contribute to a homeless shelter in your name. And the IOU list is great. My dau

Very cute. Thanks for sharing.

my heart aches for so many of you.

Jeesh I hate that. Sad for the kids; but I lived through times like that and it can make you stronger and more appreciative. It still hurts my heart, though.

I saw him in Buckingham Park subdivision and on way home from grocery, he was on Poole Bridge Road. He is wearing collar and tag but can't get close enough to read it. He was afraid enough of me that he got off the side of the road and went back behind some houses.

I have to steal this. LOL

I was the recipient of a Random Act of Kindness this evening. My legs were NOT doing well at the grocery store this evening and was hobbling slowly. Just as I got to my car to unload groceries; this lady with a beautiful spirit asked if she could unload the pack of wood and put it into the trunk for me. That was sooo nice of her. I don't know how she even noticed I had a pack of wood on the bottom of that cart. Merry Christmas sweet lady, whoever you are.

Do you tip your garbage man..........................
MissSophie replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I never heard of tipping the garbage guy; or the mailman. I tip my yard guy because he always does extra things for me just as a nice guy for an old lady!. I don't really tip, I give him a loaf of Amish bread and a gift certificate for Applebee's. Now on a fixed income; I am broke!!!!!!! -
I missed sending them out for about 3 years. Then I retired and sent a bunch last year. This year I got so far behind with holidays and baking and sister visiting; didn't do it. I think most people have gotten away from it. I might still try.

I always liked them with a bit of a bitey taste to them. I have seen them with flour and with rice krispies. Do you a favorite recipe? Hopefully one that I can freeze until Christmas Eve. TIA everyone
