We bought a house about 40 years ago in PA. On the curb; set out for the trash; were Christmas tree ornaments; hand embroidered. I had a feeling that an ex mother in law or something was the creator. But I salvaged them and still use them. I use a mish mash of whatever; some old; some modern. My little cloth angel is probably 25 years old - no lights of course. But I love this tree.

I am not a fan of tinsel. We bought it when my youngest was little and then hid it under the couch cushion. Then she would forget about it. LOL

All things happen for a reason. You may very well have saved a life last night; and it could have been someone I love. Thank you for making the right choice. -
My old TVs; none were cable ready. Bought 2 new ones this week (NOT in the middle of the sale chaos). Both are cable ready. Plugged them in and the channels appear like D2.1 D.4 , etc. How can I get back to the regular channels like 3, 131, etc. Do I have to reconnect the little black boxes I used with the older TV models? help!

Well I used 2# of fresh brussel sprouts and wish I would have used frozen. They were buggars to clean. But it was worth it. We made pan roasted brussel sprouts with bacon. I cooking woes is dishes. For 2 days I bake and cook and do dishes over and over and over. My sis came to visit from PA with a cast on her wrist that she could not get wet. ARRRGHHHHH. But I am thankful for THANKSGIVING and the blessing that God has bestowed on me.

I agree with this theory. Very fresh eggs do not peel well. Now my sister says salt in the water keeps them from splitting.

I will message later. There is one in Kennesaw. My daughter is shopping right now and can't get the name.

Fortunately in this kind of weather, you can store it outside in a cooler or in the garage. I pick and choose what goes outside (drinks, etc.) and food in fridgel And I freeze things. I even save the carcass and the pan drippings, skin, etc. for wonderful soups and broths later.

Couldn't figure out why multiple devices caused problems. It turns out my modem is too small (weak) to handle the speed I pay for (now they tell, me, LOL) Thank goodness we will finally get this corrected. Thanks to all for advice

I agree!! I love wintry weather; but I sincerely doubt we will see any. I have just a few items left to buy for T day. Although, right now we could still go on.

I just became eligible for Medicare in October. Even with Medicare, he will need a supplemental insurance to avoid paying out of pocket for almost everything. Caped should be able to help you with questions but it is very confusing!! And if at all possible, get the Medicare part D for prescriptions also, It is about $30/ month. But if you change your mind and want it later, they make your payments retroactive back until when Medicare first started. Then there is the "doughnut hole" for drugs. It took a 2 x 4 to get that one through my head. I am thankful for Medicare but the Soc

Recipe for an Easy Pumpkin Pie, using evaporated milk?
MissSophie replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I am so excited to start cooking, LOL. We have "stuffing" rather than cornbread dressing, and gravy. We have mashed potato casserole that has cr cheese and sour cream in it. We also have "pumpkin pie cake" plus pumpkin pie. Sides are always a toss up and change from year to year. I am thinking about brussel sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli; probably sweet potato casserole (we don't make the marshmallow kind but instead make the pecan crusted kind). My mouth is watering. With our extra stuffing (not all of it fits into the turkey), we make stuffing "cupcakes". They are a perfe -
