  1. This must be some form of satire because otherwise it makes no sense.
  2. 17th officer of the year down. https://www.odmp.org/officer/22038-officer-jason-crisp
  3. That is what happens when you live in a land where the government, which includes DFACS, does not have unlimited power. Much of the work DFACS does is based of consent and cooperation.
  4. Jesus....this country is now full of people who swear they are the special snow flake and everyone else must work to please them. Then you have one who thinks living by an airport gives her PTSD similar to that from combat. Idiots.
  5. Impossible to know. It is exactly what the new law addresses though, left lane travelers forcing other drivers to pass on the right. Safe passing is on the left because it is with the flow of traffic, forcing people to pass on the right increases that danger as we see here.
  6. I think the crash happened in an area outside the search grid. There are no radar coverage in that area of the ocean, the flight is monitored by ATC using the transponder. Whatever happened disabled it immediately and there was no radar to follow the flight path to the ground. Right now the search is being based simply off of the flight plan.
  7. How did you come up with that? Cleburne Pkwy still exists, just not at the portion where the East Hiram Parkway overlays it to join 278.
  8. If making forced entry. They were simply knocking on the front door.
  9. Impossible to do with the amount of active warrants LE agencies have. Even then it would be improper to routinely serve warrants by traffic stops because of the danger to the public due to the increased likelihood of flight/fight. The proper place to serve a warrant is at the home whenever possible unless there are extenuating circumstances. I guarantee if they attempted to serve the warrant on a traffic stop and he fled and crashed killing a family of 4 people would then be against that and agree it should be served at the residence.
  10. Similar but not the same. The current law only applies to vehicles traveling under the speed limit unless they are preparing to turn left. The new law will simply reinforces that the left lane is for passing only, if you are not passing you must move right independent of speed. The old law is hard to enforce unless the officer happens to be following behind the person for some distance to pace them along with confirming they have been traveling in the lane for a distance greater than needed to turn left.
  11. I was on the Victory a couple of years ago which is a sister ship and had a great time. It is not the newest class of ship but it offers a lot for a good value. The upgrades a few years ago which added the water park and outdoor movie screen were a big change. They have now completely renovated that ship last year making it the only Destiny Class ship with similar amenities such as specialty dining and the expanded adult areas as the newest classes of ships.
  12. Open records request through the military is about the only option.
  13. Geez....it is simply advice on how people can prevent this type stuff. It was in no way an attack on you, nothing will change what happened. This place is full of sensitive 5th graders these days.
  14. As long as people continue to leaving valuables in plain view this will happen. Years ago criminals stole radios and speakers because that was about the most valuable things in a car, now people leave thousands of dollars just laying in the seat and are shocked when someone steals it when all that separated them was glass. If you would not leave it sitting on the hood don't leave it sitting in the seat.
  15. Most know the proper rules, it has always been in the driver's manual...they just ignore them. So that is where tickets come in, correct bad driving and give people incentive to follow the law.
  16. We needed this law a long time ago. It will cut down on right lane passing which is dangerous in itself and cut down the aggressive driving it instigates.
  17. LOL....watch nothing happen so people can bitch about them jumping the gun requiring them to find child care.
  18. You should ask for your own sub forum for this topic.
  19. Not preparing what roads? Sand and salt spread before a storm is wasted because it washes away. Second, the main problem of the interstates is not maintained by the city.
  20. ....and most of the complaints were in reference to state controlled roadways.
  21. I don't see the outrage on this. Of course the mayor had a duty to publicly speak on the situation and his duties required travel. While everyone is fixated on the people leaving the city the mayor still had a city full of people who live there. A request to stay of the roads if you can is nothing but logical.
  22. She was found guilty at trial, it was overturned on appeal and she was tried again with another guilty verdict. That is the same standard we use here which happens on a routine basis and has nothing to do with double jeopardy. It is not like she was found not guilty at trial and tried again which is what the Constitution protects us from.
  23. All he will guarantee is his sister will be unemployed and he will need that $500 for his own attorney.
  24. LOL....do people think school buses are magical? I don't see how anyone with common sense could look out their window, at the roads, at the news and then in the next breath ask why the schools aren't taking kids stuck at a warm school and putting them on a bus to take their chances on the roads.
