  1. I've never been out of the country but I would pick Paris. The main reason would be the Louvre, the finest museum in the world. The second reason, my best friend spent the summer there and loved it she said the food was hands down the best she'd ever eaten and it was a much nicer place than here in the U.S. The third reason, is because I've been listening to a French Learning Program that is out of this world and french is fun.
  2. We've got plenty of foil, you can have some of ours. I'm currently constructing a signaling device in the back yard...
  3. He's not being punished for doing the right thing. He's being punished for breaking the rules. Although he did the right thing in taking the guy in, it was clearly against the rules. If you rob a bank and give the money to a local orphanage it doesn't change the fact that you broke the rules and took something that didn't belong to you. The coach did something he shouldn't have done and now he's being punished. It seems pretty black and white to me...
  4. OP never said which door he opened, nor did she say the man leaned at all. I took everything the OP said at face value. LOL Do I know you?
  5. I'll get in a car with anyone who has candy...
  6. No it's that some of us have better sense than to run around screaming that the sky is falling. The only thing the man did wrong was say excuse me to someone.
  7. The only thing you've told us is that he said "excuse me" and then your daughter got in her car and left. How do you know he didn't want directions? How does that equate to him trying to get her into his car? If the man pulls into the college looking for the courthouse and realizes it's not the courthouse why would he drive to the convenience store across the street to ask directions when there is a young lady, probably a fine upstanding citizen, a budding pillar of the community right there who possibly wouldn't mind helping an old man such as himself.
  8. I think if you can prove that the employees are illegal then go ahead and turn them in. Companies are going to continue to use illegal workers as long as they can get away with it. If they are caught and fined enough then they will stop. On the other hand if you do turn them in and it turns out that they are not illegal workers(not that you would know the results anyway) then it looks like a sore loser but no one would know anyway. Do it...
  9. Me too, doesn't sound like he tried to get her in the car, sounds like he needed directions. Some people still don't realize that isn't the courthouse anymore. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people calling at me from vehicles because they are looking for the courthouse. He probably got persistent because he figured she didn't hear him so he made himself louder and possibly even opened the door to get out so as to be more audible and not hide inside the vehicle. I don't think anyone woman should be without some defensive device.
  10. The whole thing is an elaborate setup by the Chinese and other governments to bring down the American Economy. A vast majority of the things that we buy are from China and we all know that China is growing fast and is in a position to bump the U.S. from the top spot in the economic world. In the normal run of the economics game, China would overtake the U.S. and the U.S. would put up a fight, flex it's muscle, and gain back the lead leaving China once again second. China wants to be number one but doesn't want to risk being swamped again by the U.S. By taxing our products they affect our alrea
  11. I learned how to calculate the variance and standard deviation of a sample data set and draw a box and whiskers chart of the data.
  12. Awww, never, though I am tempted now that you've called my Bear Grylls girly...
  13. I've not noticed these people being quoted much...but I'll take my chances. And thanks...
  14. This will be an interesting case...but I doubt the defense will work...the sleepwalking defense didn't work.
  15. Can someone explain to me again how to block peoples posts...I knew at one point but I have forgotten.
  16. Personally I no longer see the point of arguing global warning and I'll tell you why. Let's say for the sake of argument that it is in fact true, the earth is getting warmer. Now we split the population into two sides, those who believe and those who don't. Scenario 1... Those who believe, cut back on their emissions and make a conscious effort to do their part in preventing any further damage. Those who don't, double their efforts to pollute and deface the planet as much as possible to prove to the quacks who believe in global warming, that they are idiots. This extra pollution
