It's a hard habit to break... I don't try to take my contacts out anymore (after nearly 5 years) but I do still reach for my glasses sometimes when I wake up during the night. They sat on my nightstand and I didn't walk to the bathroom in the dark without them because I was so blind!!!!

I went to Emory for mine, I wasn't a canidate for Lasik, but had PRK. I had a history of dry eyes, and my vision was SOOOOOOOO bad, they wouldn't do the Lasik. I had my surgery about 4 years ago and had to have a 2nd surgery (enhancement) to one eye. Recovery with PRK is much worse than with Lasik. I still have prbs with extremely dry eyes, but don't know if they are any worse than they would have been without it. I would do it again in a heartbeat! In the last year or so, I have gotten where I'm needing reading glasses again, which is just a normal aging thing. My vision far off is sti

What's your current favorite "busy work week" recipe?

Doesn't have a name, but here's how you fix it... Lay 2 skinless chicken breast in a baking dish cover with 1 large sliced onion sprinkle with olive oil cover with 1 can of tomatoes with basil & Orageno bake for about 30 or 45 minutes depending on size of chicken in a 425 degree oven Serve with rice, put the tomatoes/onion mixture on the rice... usually also have whole kernel corn -
I have no idea... been wanting a steak special from Rodney's too, actaully tried that Monday after we got the e-mail saying they were open.... but they were closed at 6pm. Hubby doesn't usually get home for work until close to 8, so no time to go out during the week. Little one is at Grannys, so it may be a sammy night.

Would LOVE a real cement pond, but don't have the money or yard for it, so I'll settle for my above ground for now at least.

Not bored here, but also not having the "traditional" 4th either. We finally got our pool up, so we swam some, then went to see Cars 2, then came home and cooked Nachos.

Okay, I have to update.... I hired someone to level the area and we never could get the blob pool up. It kept going to one side, despite our best efforts. So, we pilled it in the car, damp and dirty and returned it back to Wal-Mart in two shopping carts... I have to say, that the people at Wal Mart are the best! They didn't even blink an eye, refunded my money (with my receipt) without any issues at all. We then went and got the other kind of Intex pool... the one with the metal rails. It went up like a dream and is filling up (slow process). so excited! Can't wait to use our new po

LOL.. was hoping that no one knew about the bodies! but thanks for the suggestions. We'll have to try the lime. Considering doing more digging, if we can stand the smell. And yes, there are lots of trees, and were LOTS more before our house was butil 9 years ago, so I'm sure there is a lot down there to decompose.

Never lived there, but I think it would be an awesome place to live! I love Dahlonega!

Okay, this is bad, but we were trying to put up a pool (which we have now given up on and taken the dang thing back to WalMart). In the attempt DH started digging to level the ground, then I hired someone to come in and finish. That wet mud that we now have back there smells so, so, so bad.... like $hit (sorry, there is no other word, poop, just doesn't do it justice.) Any ideas what is causing it? Is it just the wet mud? We are not on a septic, were on county water/sewage and no, it hasn't been unusually wet back there, just from all this rain and from filling and draining this stupid p

plans for the weekend... taking the big blue blob pool pack to Wallyworld that we have had no luck putting up, even after we've hired someone to level the area where it goes, then seeing if we have better luck with the steel side Intex pool..... If not, it too will go back to wally world and I guess we'll have a mud pit in the backyard.. with all this rain, I could hold mud wrestling tournaments and charge admission... anyone in?
