  1. He's right, doggone it. Two additional photos of the Presidential limo showing the flags...
  2. Well, I'm insulted that you'd think that stradial is the only person who knows about old things. I know about them, too. Only not as much as he does. I can't imagine what that image is. It's not a motorcycle, I don't think. PS - That DA murder is...yowsa. I read a lay person speculating that even though they hate each other, he could see it being the Aryan Brotherhood doing it for the Mexican cartels in exchange for drugs and prison protection. I thought that was insightful. Either which way, the folks in TX are way wadded up about this, and well they should be. I hadn't reali

    hahahahaha Good for him!
  4. Was that Wellstar? I figured it was Cedarcrest Church, who just moved into their new building next door. The one with the cross that looks like it's glued onto the front of the building. SMART WOMAN. We went to one when 6yo nephew was little, and it was a complete zoo. They just put the eggs out on the grass in full view with only a few inches in between. And although they had age-appropriate groups, the older kids kept sneaking in and snatching up bunches of eggs. Never again. We only did it because little 'un saw the stuff from the road and wanted to check it out. Oh
  5. I wish I'd thought of that.

Mother and I are guilty of this with 6yo nephew, but we are helping raise him, so I will stand by it.
  7. Yeah, you're not a hoarder, either. I love finding those BOGOs at Publix!!!
  8. Sounds to me like you are more of a trader than you are a hoarder. Hoarders wouldn't give away their treasures as gifts. I have a friend who is a hoarder, and she lets me "borrow" things, but she would die before she'd ever willingly give away any of her stuff. It makes her feel safe and secure. You are more like my dad, who also had a ton of stuff, but he just liked the buying and selling of it. If you were to ever want to sell your stuff, you could talk to somebody like that lady on here who does estate sales - A Class Act, I think is the name? She should be able to tell you what th
  9. The way I understood it from some time back was that 92 was to be widened to four lanes with a turn lane or median from Douglasville to 41 in Acworth. Cedarcrest is also to be widened to four lanes from Harmony Grove Church Road to 41 (see linky below). Dabbs Bridge is going four-lane from 61 to 41. These will all tie into the new I-75 interchange going in at Third Army Road (which Cobb is gearing up for). I had heard that this was all to facilitate Bentwater getting a major PGA tournament (probably not JUST to facilitate it, but I did hear that was a major factor). No doubt the hotels go
  10. True story. Who could possibly not love a baby duck? They are beyond precious!!! Messy as all get-out, but precious!
  11. Hey, at least it wasn't Che Guevara.
  12. The thing about nuts is that sometimes they believe their own hype and they do go off the rails. China supposedly controls this dude, but I wouldn't bet my paycheck on him never doing anything.
  13. The DOT plan is to widen it to four lanes from Douglasville to 41 in Cobb County. However, construction has been halted due to an endangered bat being found in the area. Delays of up to nine months. Linky: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/endangered-bats-delay-road-projects-across-georgia/nWzc3/ More information: http://www.gahwy92.com/pauldingcounty.html www.dot.ga.gov I cannot find ANY information on the widening of 92 on the DOT web site. Either it's in a document I didn't find, or it's not coming up anytime soon.
  14. Kinda like Ransom of the Red Chief. :snicker:
  15. I LOVE the light blue on the porch...tres Southern chic. Glad to know of good builders/renovations people. I'll keep you in mind when I need something else and mine your brain for details.
  16. Papi, I have seen both sides of this - the years-long caring for a person in an extremely handicapped state and the toll it takes on a family with the constant bodily stress, emotional stress, worry, expense, etc., and the extremely poor prognosis with a patient that makes a miraculous recovery. If he's not going to make a recovery, they do indeed face a mind-boggling life of difficulty, and I do agree that it would have been more merciful if he hadn't survived. But it is what it is. I think they have handled everything well, considering the shock of what they've been through, and they have
  17. Hey, I'm glad you brought this up. I just found out that my most excellent next-door neighbor is putting her house on the market soon. I'm in Pickett's Mill. Sending you a PM with details.
  18. Ooh...so this little episode wasn't forgotten after all? heh heh heh
  19. There's your first dreadful mistake, right there.
  20. I'm having the same problem the last couple of days.
  21. I think we are literally just around the corner from some MAJOR MAJOR breakthroughs in big areas of medicine.
  22. RE: counselor - I'd call West Ridge Church and get their recommendations. RE: lawyer - I'd call Jeanne O'Halleran (commerce member on here) and talk to her and see what she says. She could at least point you in the right direction, and I doubt she'd charge for that.
  23. The daughter said that the first day, and she called the Glynn Co. PD and told them her thoughts.
