I was listening to the radio this morning and I heard an interesting topic. They were talking about Tip Jars at many locations. Convenient Store checkout counters, Ice Cream shops, Fast Food Registers, Car washes, Salons, etc. Some may or may not be appropriate but I was wondering what pcom thought. Is it getting out of hand? Does it offend you when someone asks for more? Is your payment for services not enough anymore? Are you ok with everyone putting one out? How about your doctor's office? Checkout clerk at Target? School teacher? Policeman/Fireman? Mechanic? What your thoughts

I can't believe all this talk and no mention of the drive in. I sat on 120/Macland corner across from Hardy Chevy. Going home to Rockmart from Marietta, I knew we were only 40 minutes from home. Now it only takes 15.

I still wondering why you needed a TV guide. How hard was it to flip through 2, 5, and 11? On a clear night, you got channel 8. Of course, once those animals started "humping", my dad was yelling at us to change the channel. No remote either. That's what we were for.

I love how people condemn others how they spend their money. I'm sure each of us can be criticized somewhere. It is their money and they can spend it the way they want to.

You are exactly right, sir. Bigger industry could have helped in the tax burden issues of homeowners but instead, we got hundreds of more empty lots growing weeds. Now those unpaved roads will be the responsibility of the county since the developers are all gone. Oh well..............the beat goes on.

I never understood why they put that Industrial Park down from your house without any access from the westbound side. That has to be the most inconvenient entrance I have ever seen. If you turn right out of the complex, you have go down to 120, do a U turn, go back a mile or two, do another U turn and then proceed into the park again. Not very easy if you are an 18 wheeler with a big load of steel.
