  1. I wear this on a necklace quite often.
  2. This is the way I see it: You may have a valuable relationship, but the choices he's making now could change and effect his life forever. Will you saying something keep that from happening? It could...it also might not. But would you rather say something than not say something and him wind up with a life altering disease or a child at 15? Do you really want to be in a 'if I had only said something' situation later? I've been in a similar situation. Not this one, but one similar. I didn't say something, and it's still something I regret and will regret for the rest of my life...the
  3. I did! Lilgallowsmama was a little much. A bunch of us went to acronyms right around the same time. So glad to see you around again!
  4. That's gotta be a guy thing. Maybe not...I dunno, I don't watch tv. Actually, not true, the FSU game is on in the living room.
  5. My grandmother is the QUEEN hoarder, and her 40 something year old daughter lives with her and is just as bad. They have a 3 bedroom with a sunroom and a den...every single room, including the dining room, is packed with stuff. The stuff doesn't even fit the room it's in, it's just there...and there are paths to get from one room to another. Who needs a hundred empty cool whip and butter bowls? I mean, they're clean, but seriously. And they buy stuff and never even open it....like a whole pool table and big screen tv...been sitting in the middle of the sunroom surrounded by more stu
  6. I remember this story. I know it wasn't easy for her to be 'the pregnant girl' in school, but she handled it very well. She had child development class down like the back of her hand...I suspect it was probably her wonderful mama and that What to Expect book she carried around. There are much worse things...it's not going to be easy, by any means, but there are very smart ways to go about it that would make life for her and the baby so much easier in the long run.
  7. I second, third, and fourth Ross. I actually found my dream wedding dress there and didn't get it. Never would have thought to even look there, but it was insanely perfect for the beach wedding I was planning.
  8. First, you might want to check out being a nanny or working for somebody like Slumber Parties. With Slumber Parties you can make your own schedule and still make good money. Second, I always said/thought the same thing about daycare...then I finally went out and got a full-time job anyway just to see what happens. I don't bring home a whole lot after paying daycare, but I also pay for benefits and it covers the families groceries for the month, my gas for the month (including more than just going to and from work), and a little bit left over to go towards bills. Even when I was bringin
  9. Good not-so-morning-anymore! Today is my mom's birthday, so the whole family is doing lunch. Then I'm coming home and cleaning like crazy, working on a few assignments for school, and crafting. ♥
  10. 3/4 a gallon of milk? You could do like I do when I have a 'broke week': go buy a giant thing of ground beef at Ingles. I think I paid $7 and some change for the 5lb thing I just bought over the weekend. Then, you split it up and make from that - spaghetti, hamburger helper, tacos...whatever, really. The other nights I normally do breakfast for dinner, because it's pretty cheap. If you go to the Ingles meat department, you'll be surprised what you can find. The roast I just bought was right around $3, and it will make roast and potatos one night and a really good stew the next.
  11. Here's mine, but for the whole day though...not just tonight
  12. Pft. No way in heck could I run for president. Just the fact that I let a message board lovingly nickname my kid 'Hellraiser' would cause enough stir to keep me out of office. Then you add in that I have extremely Buddhist spiritual religious views, have 'different' political views, am often called a 'hippie', have Pagans in my family...
  13. First thing you need to do is check the lease. If it's in the lease, and they signed it, then yes he can. On a positive note, I graduated with your oldest and know your younger daughter by association with the older one. If you need help packing or moving, please let me know. ETA: Also, if you need boxes, I can get those too.
  14. It's near The Been, but not the same location.
  15. It's across the street from Dallas Elementary, sort of behind Big Bear and off to the left a bit.
  16. Taylor's P.A.L.S. Thrift Store. She has aLOT of stuff, especially considering what little time they've been open. I snagged a super cute shirt for work, two vintage little mugs, and a Disney Princess wardrobe that had 3 full dress-up outfits in it. This thing is almost as big as my princess and she absolutely adored it. I took a tour around the lending library and saw what's being done to the place - I love that this thrift store benefits special needs children, as my little one was special needs. I wish I had resources like the ones Taylor's P.A.L.S. have put together when she was littl
  17. Florida State plays Miami on Monday night and I am sooooooo ready to watch.
  18. No way! Shush. I have the flu and can't do basic math today. I also overflowed my dishwasher, somehow.
  19. So I've been AWOL from p.com for the most part since I moved in January, but I just realized that in my 5 years as a member here I've made almost 20,000 posts. I know others have more, but holy wow. I have 1,175 to go. Edited because I have the flu and can't do basic math.
  20. That's what my little one calls needles and shots. I wonder if she heard it at the hospital.
  21. Oh, I would so love to go this year. There's a giant group from school all going together, as the Brotherhood, actually, but I didn't have the fundage.
