I can't find anything that compliments the dress that SIL picked out. I'll post a pic. I love the dress, though! And my very first idea was to make her a tutu-dress and her exact response was 'Moooooom, I'm seevennnn!' with a face. She generally dresses like a very modest 14 year old, complete with striped leggings and denim skirts. I may make her one anyway and let her deal with it, but I can't find tulle anywhere close to the same green as SIL's dress, either. .....I didn't think about that. She steals my shirts, why would she not 'fit' in a Juniors dress if I could hem

I now have my dress, and am in the process of finding dresses for OH's little sister (13) and Mini-Me. They're the only two in the wedding. The problem is that they have flower girl-ish dresses up to Mini-Me's size, but not SIL's size. However, SIL isn't a 'Bridesmaid' dress size. This makes it difficult to find them matching dresses. Or, by looking at simple places like Dillards and Macy's, even dresses from different departments that don't clash (and aren't hideous). SIL actually picked out and purchased a black lace dress with a green halter/bow a few months ago from JC Penny, but now

Mini-Me is high functioning autistic (diagnosed years ago), and will likely not 'qualify' under the new definition. However, like many autistic children, she has many other disorders (Tourettes, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, mixed expressive language disorder, and several others) that are actually what qualified her for assistance. Even with tourettes, it's hard to get through the red tape. I can't imagine having to battle through it without the 'extra' disorders to help us along, (for lack of a better way of putting it).

The rule definitely isn't two, because I just gave out four +'s and a couple -'s.

I've also heard, on several different occasions, of a physician tattoo'ing a dot to the bottom of a twin's foot. Not entirely true. While *some* scars may be permanent, the piercings themselves are not and neither are the holes. Many don't even scar. I've had just about everything pierced and I have two scars. I've also had eight holes in each ear, and couldn't begin to tell you where they all were (there's only two in each ear now), as the holes are completely gone with no sign they ever existed.

Heinous crimes, Horrible violence, Even on Children!

Anyone and everyone is capable of murdering someone else. We don't like to think of it that way, but it's true. /shrug without a smiley face/. Personally, for many, I think it has to do with adrenaline and the effects adrenaline has on nullifying emotions. When someone rapes someone, their adrenaline is high and they become more emotionally numb whilst simultaneously high on brain chemicals and can easily murder someone. When someone is scared or fears something (as this Brunn claims) their adrenaline is high, thinking isn't clear, etc. etc., and it becomes easier for them to commit such -
I make mine partially because it's more economically friendly (I mean, just thinking about how many plastic bottles of detergent I don't buy is motivation. ), and partially because it's cheaper. I can't find the website at the moment, but the one where I got my original recipe did the math and it came up to something like a penny or two per load. I used bluing in mine...until I gave my mom my bluing. I need to run and get some more. I do NOT, however, use homemade detergent in the cloth diapers because it builds up and causes the diapers to repel rather than absorb. I use 1tbsp.

^^ I so love this.

I didn't. But at the same time, I'd like to think someone could walk across a parking lot without being judged. People obviously don't care what others think. If they did, women would quit reproducing, as it seems that new mothers can't win for anything. Can't smoke, ever, or even appear to be smoking. Can't have a single beer (same doctor had me drink a Guinness in my 3rd trimester to stop labor once...and I'm not a huge fan of beer even when not preggo), Can't breastfeed in public, Can't breastfeed in general because it's 'gross', Can't bottle feed because it's 'not

My doctor told me to smoke when I was pregnant with Finn after I nearly spontaneously miscarried and he (the baby) failed the stress test by a huge margin...after I quit smoking. Nicotine withdrawal and dime sized fetus' do not go well together, apparently. Just have to pick the lesser of two evils if you find out you're pregnant after the fact (like most do).

I so didn't know you were a fellow Eagle parent. Last year, if I'm not mistaken, they did the 5th grade walk. To me, it's just as sweet (if not sweeter, because the whole school is involved), and alot shorter than waiting for everyone's names to be called.

Can you PM me the name of that virtual school?

Middle school kid injured in EP bus accident

I'm fairly certain you left your sense of humor behind with the ghosts and creepy stairs when p.com moved. -
Mini-me's body doesn't produce melatonin on it's own. She's been taking it since she was 18 months old, at .5mg. In June, we bumped it to 1mg. In October, we went to 1.5, then 3. Last week we had to go to 6mg after she stayed up for nearly 48 hours for the fourth time in a month...and it didn't work. No idea what we're going to do from here. Poor kid knows when a new day starts when she wakes up, so imagine her frustration when she doesn't sleep for 72 hours and mommy is sending her to school for the third time since she last went to sleep. Crazy part is that she doesn't get tired.

I consistently go to bed between 2 and 4am, and am up again at 6:45 to take Mini-Me to school. Sometimes, but not often, I'll take an hour mid-morning nap when the littlest takes his. I don't know that I'd call this a 'sleep issue' though, as I don't really have an issue with it. Until I land myself in a four-hour, lecture based religion class (as I found myself today), I just don't get sleepy. I'm pretty sure Mini-Me's sleep issues just 'trained' me this way, as she was up for 24-72 hours at a time during infancy/toddlerhood. She has recently started doing that again, and I'm actua

now that I have a data plan on my phone, what can I do?
lilgallowsmama replied to Mama Carol's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Entirely depends upon what kind of phone you have. My non-'Smart phone' with a data plan can't do near as much (or the same things near as quickly, even), as an actual smart phone with a data plan. -
Thank you guys SO much!!! I can eat at someone's house if they know how to prepare the food and the cultural background behind it.

I need semi-local *authentic* Non-American/European restaurants, as I apparently have to visit several over the course of the semester. Let me know what you've tried, what to avoid, how much it cost. etc. I would prefer Middle Eastern/South Asian/Indian food, if at all possible...not because I prefer the food but because it's my preferred region of study. While we're at it, what's your favorite type of food? I'm an Italian fanatic over here.

I actually can't see your picture so I have no idea who you think he looks like.
-
I so don't see Rachel McAdams except for the big, pretty smile, but I think Mrs B does resemble Amanda Seyfried. I thought the same thing when I met you. You've lost your mind. FRODO!!!! (Elijah Wood). Atleast, that's who I think he looks like.
-
Yep, same guy! He and my dad were partners, back when Cobb PD had partners and I was still in diapers.

Oh my goodness, you do look like her!

Computer Rescue saved my PC...and it's a dinosaur.

I've been told multiple times I have her face structure, and those 'Celebrity-look-alike Generator' things always give me her and Debra Messing. I don't see Debra Messing at all, but I definitely have Reece Whitherspoon's chin, and I love it.

Frodo.
