  1. Gas South, no problems in the second year with them. Highest bill so far around $80 last year when we had all that snow, but I have a small house and am gone all day with the heat lowered to about 65. I believe my rate is around .54 per therm. And there were months in the summer where I paid about $25 to have $0 gas delivered to my residence. Still not as bad as the fees Ga Power added to my bill at my previous home - but I did come to understand why they were willing to pay customers who heated with gas to put in an electric heat pump.
  2. Annette was a very sweet lady. She will be missed. Condolences to her family.
  3. Well whoever wrote it apparently never drank tequila
  4. To answer the question, none and not much. In that order. Not sure how this relates to PCH but there ya go...
  5. Believe it? I have trouble understanding his rambling, circular doublespeak. If he cared enough to pay attention to what he says, no doubt he would have trouble understanding it, too. It is rather silly to suggest that people YOU don't know personally feel hate toward someone THEY don't know personally. There are either many who don't really know what hate is, or don't possess the vocabulary to use a more appropriate term. There are plenty others to pick from: displeased, appalled, embarrassed, confused, suspicious, ashamed, disgusted and yes, angry, to name a few. I don't kn
  6. And how many American citizens were murdered by American citizens? How many by their own parents, spouse or children??
  7. Twilley Animal Clinic - that vet? We had some good times at the lounge. What I remember of 'em, anyway. -------------------------------------------------------------- I'm thinking it wouldn't take much to move the needle from .05 to .08, so in essence they have passed that in Georgia. People who love to go to bars and do so regularly don't tend to sweat such details as what their point-zero number might be, anyway.
  8. BIL loves his, too. I told him he didn't deserve anything but coal for Christmas and he said that would be fine with him, his preference would be the kind in the green bag and I could find it at Ace Hardware...
  9. LOL Murph's yep. But only a time or two, and mostly because I lived nearby. May have shot pool at Chief's, once, if I am thinking of the right place, during the short time I lived off Atlanta Rd. I think my ex spent a bit more time there than I did. If that wasn't where I shot pool, I definitely remember the name. Hadn't thought of that place in a very long time. My sister worked at the veterinarian's office near where Austell and Atlanta intersected for a few years. There was a place I did frequent in that area though, and I am wondering if your Dolly's West might have bee
  10. Yeah, do be careful. Not sure I would try to do this myself, even with some instructions. Do be sure the power is off before you go poking around in your breaker box if you do decide to do it. I would assume there is some relevance to the size of the wires since ranges draw more current than other appliances?
  11. I doubt Helping Hands would refuse them but I know someone who volunteers there regularly if you would like for me to call and ask her, I will.
  12. I am amazed that anyone would defend, much less want to elect, such a dishonest, egomaniacal person as Donald Trump to a second term, especially for such a juvenile reason as 'to watch someone squirm'. The problem we have now is people voting for an individual based on personal feelings, name recognition, personal ideology, party association, etc. rather than the candidate who demonstrates the ability to provide capable, ethical leadership and whose background and finances are not incompatible with transparency and full disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest or questionable busine
  13. There is racism, and there is jumping to conclusions. This is more in line with the latter.
  14. Come on, this was an issue from the very beginning when the tariffs were little more than talk. Are you saying that because it is from a news source you consider to be liberal that it isn't true? Wall Street Journal, September 2018: https://www.wsj.com/articles/farmers-say-aid-wont-cover-tariff-damage-1537974178 Politico, October 2018: https://www.politico.com/story/2018/10/23/trump-tariffs-farmers-agriculture-866450 Washington Post, July 2018: https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2018/07/30/after-trumps-farmer-bailout-manufacturers-ask-what-about-us/?utm_term=.078ed5564942
  15. I am a Christmas-hating Grinch anyway - surprise! - and if they played no Christmas music at all I would be just fine with that. (Although I do like the Little Drummer Boy song...until I have heard it for the umpteenth time). Oh yeah...UGH @ the political comments. It is possible for someone to be offended, even by something so silly as this, without politics entering into it at all. I guess some people just can't help themselves.
  16. If there was a slaughterhouse big enough to accommodate his size, maybe. Luckily for him, there isn't.
  17. Why are humans incapable of leaving anything or anyone alone and untouched?
  18. For her to suggest that it occurred because she wasn't given guidance on the matter IS hypocritical, though. Seriously, did a day go by when he didn't mention it either at a campaign event or on Twitter? How many clues did she need?
  19. No doubt. He was a cool little dude. My neighbors named him Peanut and fed him steak, chicken, roast and all kinds of good stuff. The mayor of Braswell named him Buster and wasn't sure what to say when he discovered him living at my house. His name was Bear Hope you find you a good, lazy dog.
  20. Yeah, but seems to me it would kinda put a damper on the relief of having the first place cleaned up to have another pop up to take its place. Who wants to constantly have that going on?
  21. I had a basset beagle mix you would have adored LOL
  22. Yeah, not sure why we even have a Marshal if they can't/won't intervene when places start looking like a garbage dump and it is clearly a problem for the entire neighborhood. In fact, I thought that was the reason the office was created in the first place, because of some junked up properties nobody would address for years. It is really unfair to allow this to happen when it will eventually attract all matter of vermin, and everybody knows rats and mice don't give a hoot whether they are welcome or not, they're gonna come anyway.
  23. Some companies still offer insurance for an annual term, others limit to 6 months term. I know of one that prefers to sell annual policies as opposed to six months... But the law does not prohibit annual term policies.
  24. No, I think they do their best to not put any of them down but when intake exceeds adoptions, I don't think they have much choice. But things may have changed. Just not sure.
