  1. Well I was all ready to buy this for myself but saw where some said it was less actual music than they had expected and more interviews and stuff so I changed my mind.
  2. So inquiring minds want to know, how are things with Little Miss Coco? Wonderful, I hope.
  3. I think we might have a much better government if people would stop trying to use it to control others or impose their agenda on everybody else. That's all I have to say about that.
  4. Dawww! She has settled right in! Mine paces, shakes, and her ears go up like a rabbit's when there are storms. She used to sit in the closet but now she gets under the bed. No doubt your dog could forecast at least as well as the local weather folks, sometimes I think they would do better to look out the window than at all those computer models...
  5. This is my problem with so many people carrying guns - there is a difference between getting your ass whipped and a threat that warrants pulling a gun in a public place and firing it. Not enough people have the sense to respond in an appropriate manner. So two lives have been upended over a disagreement, and it was damned fortunate nobody else was injured or killed. In my opinion, people like this are a bigger danger than the possibility of someone opening fire with the intent of taking out a lot of people wherever I happen to be. I can remember when there was a much higher thre
  6. Not the pit bull mix...lol. I had a stray pit mix come to live at my previous house in Braswell. For a breed that is reportedly akin to Satan himself, a good one is so easy to love. He wasn't around all the time, but when he did show up he was joyously happy to see me, which of course made me pretty happy too.
  7. She will be spoiled rotten before you know it...if she isn't already. She is adorable!
  8. Aw, she looks like my little girl Given a little time to adjust, she will be right as rain.
  9. So sorry for your loss. Sadly, only time can heal this particular wound. Thoughts are with his family.
  10. Close, it was Tommy Gamel and Richard Carter, but not sure when it was built. I know it was there when I had my learner's permit to drive, which would have been 1979, so that sounds about right. One of those guys (I can't say now which one for sure) lived a few houses over from us and then moved away after the plane crashed. Both of them lost their wives and children in the accident.
  11. I gotta make a note of this, I have a ton of newspaper I have needed to take to the shelter, as well as some sheets. And will grab some food too, to take.
  12. Not too far then, I lived at the corner of Tammy Drive and Bobo Rd. You know the intersection of Mt Tabor and Bobo Rd is a 4-way stop now...? Lot of changes in the county...
  13. Depending on which direction from New Hope, we might have lived near one another. Our house was about 3 miles away. I was at home and what I heard inside the house I assumed a bad storm was headed our way. I was 12 at the time and would never have imagined it was a plane crash except a few minutes later my dad pulled up at the house and told us what happened. Some years ago I listened to the recording from that flight/crash. Don't remember what site I found it on. It was surreal, hearing it as it happened. Much of it was barely audible...
  14. Where can ya go for beer and pinball? Never been there, and it may not even be open anymore. but there used to be a billiard place at the Plaza if that's more to your liking... And you know, the neon golf place is strategically located within easy walking distance of not one but two establishments that serve adult beverages...
  15. Well yeah, but you were talking about a group thing, which is kinda different. Mostly though, I wanted to know if it was as dark in there as it looks from outside. Considering how long it's been since I played, that might not be such a bad thing, really.
  16. It's in the strip shopping center on the opposite end from Hiram Station. Across from the Briar Patch.
  17. I have a Dutch door in my kitchen and open the bottom half in the mornings before work so my dog can go in and out as she pleases. The past week or so, what appears to be the same little bird flies in, alights on the top of my cabinets, and flies right back out as soon as it hears me coming in that direction. May not be the same bird, but it looks the same and goes right to the same spot every time. I think it has come inside 5 times so far, but the first time I didn't get a good look so may have been a totally different bird. And of course the dog either doesn't see or isn't intere
  18. He would have been 41 in April. I had forgotten that our birthdays were not even a week apart til I read his obituary. This whole incident has really weighed on me. He was just a nice guy and the whole thing is very sad.
  19. I want to know about the Outrageous Mini Golf place, myself. Looks kinda dark in there (from the street) to be trying to play putt - putt.
  20. On the credit card website, possibly in your settings or profile section, there should be a place to set alerts. Then you can pick and choose what you want to receive notifications for and how to receive them. Just look for alerts or notifications.
  21. Yeah more than once I have had ads on FB related to conversations we have had in the office. Personally, I don't like that stuff at all. And I am starting to think it is stupid to throw so much money at problems that could easily be solved by simply not using computers for everything under the sun or putting screens and entertainment systems in vehicles and most of all, not carrying one around in your pocket all the time. Now, even though I have turned off as much of my activity on google as possible, whatever can't be turned off seems to be synching my phone to my WORK computer. Defi
  22. I am going to say politics and FB, in that order.
  23. I don't know any details about the accident, but the person killed was a friend of a friend. I have not seen him in almost 20 years. He was always polite and pleasant, and as I recall he was a fairly talented artist. I sure hated to hear this news.
  24. We have a part-time employee who lives in Bartow and is always offering to take our recyclables, if you can wait til she comes in tomorrow I can ask her if they take glass and if so whether she can take them. We are in Dallas.
