  1. I now have two decisions to make: 1. Do I quit my job and stop supporting those who live off the government (aka slaves of the government) and become a government dependent? 2. Do I move to Canada, Mexico, Aruba, Iraq?
  2. And people tend to forget that Clarks staffs the football games in this county. His employees volunteer to work (get paid) the games on their off day when they could be with their families. He provides trucks to many events and sometimes doesn't even charge the county. He transport patients without insurance and never gets a dime, therefore the county subsidy, just like they give to the hospital for indigent care. There are many things that go on behind the scenes in many businesses that we are not privy to, so before posing comments that have not basis, do your homework and state the facts
  3. WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY WELL PUT.
  4. I haven't seen any post about these two great events this weekend. The Dallas Fall Festival was most enjoyable. Lot of people there. Shows, dancing, Llamas, food, tents with crafts etc. Love the LE/EMS appreciation event too. Neat to see how far Paulding Co has come to provide a safe community to live. Sheriff's, police, GSP, Swat, military, ambulances, fire trucks, helicopter and much much more. If you didn't attend, you really missed two great events. THANK YOU PAULDING COUNTY FOR ALL YOU DO!
  5. Mine have all been at work at Paulding Hospital. First time, I was standing on third floor (night shift) talking to some of the nurses. I heard someone walking down the hall, I turned to see who it was but saw no one. The nurses started laughing and asked me what I was looking at, when I told them they, they said it was Dr. Braly. He still walked the halls. I shrugged it off. A few years later, I was in the Intensive Care Unit visiting a patient I had taken care of the day before in the ER. While we were talking, I moved towards the bed, let someone walk behind behind me so they c
  6. I know someone who lives in Blue Ridge and if you are planning to go to Mercier's to buy apples, I would call first. She said they were already OUT!
  7. There is a marker there although temporary. There was a dedication ceremony this past April and Sandy Purl attended (one of the surviving stwedaress). The county is taking donations toward a permanent marker to be erected at the site. It is there on the corner of the cemetary in New Hope. I think the bank taking donations is Ga. Heritage.

  11. The government has been inching it's way into health care for over 30+ years. I remember my dad telling me that one day a government official walked into his office and told him he was there to save his butt. My dad replied, I didn't know my but needed to be saved. The official proceeded to tell him that all the patients he had been seeing for free that now he would get paid for those services, enter Medicaid. My dad may not have been monetarily paid but we sure did get alot of fresh vegetables, eggs and such in the summertime and odds and ends work on our home as payment. Well, his offic
  12. this is just a question, no mud slinging intended, just want to know if anyone knows about this. I "heard" that Melissa's husband is/has sued Paulding County for something he felt they wronged him on. Anyone know??????
  13. These are the hover crafts from the "Capitol" attacking district 12. We need Katniss to come defend us, only she can save us from "The Hunger Games" LOL
  14. I don't know the children but send my sympathies. I worked with Kathy at Paulding Hospital for many many years and she always a great nurse, always smiling and fun to be around. You will be missed.
  15. If you are wanting to pull out in a line of traffic, I will be glad to let you out, UNLESS I see you are on your cellphone then NO WAY. You will have to wait on someone else to let you out. If I can, I refuse to drive behind you while you are talking on your phone!!! AND I am proud to say I have noticed more people using their turn signals BUT, turn them on BEFORE you get to the stop sign, not after you have stopped at the sign! IDIOTS
  16. Contact Sharon Rakestraw Morgan, maybe get her phone number or friend her on facebook. She has just opened a venue at her beautiful home on Braswell Mtn Road. It is on many acres of rolling pasutres and if I know Sharon, the setting will be wonderful for what you are looking for.
  17. I got rid of my home phone years ago and this was one of the reasons, junk fees. I only use a cell now and have not missed my home phone for a single second. I got a pay as you go phone for the bedside in case of an emergency. All I need. I support those who abuse the system enough as it is, any way to keep the "govment" from getting more of my money, I will vow to do.
  18. Sad to say that I found out the gentleman who died in the car accident was a patient of mine/ours and was scheduled to come in today (monday) for treatment. Prayers to the family from NGOC.
  19. When I was a few years younger everyone said I looked like ELIZABETH TAYLOR. Now they are saying REBA MCINTYRE. Kind of a big difference IMO.
  20. Sorry, not sure why I typed grandfather, it was the father. Thanks
  21. Let's pray for this family. The mother of the 3 year old works at the Dallas First United Methodist Chruch's Childrens Learning Center. He is not doing well as of yesterday. The grandfather was air lifted to Kennestone but I have not heard how he is doing. Forget the rest of the non-sense about the description of the cars, who should post what, when and where and pray for those involved. Thanks
  22. I agree, we do have plenty to choose from, if you live in that area of Hiram. I live off 92 between 278 and Macland Rd. So to go to any of the stores you mention below is quite a drive for me, I get in to the 92, Ridge Road etc traffic going to those stores and it takes me forever. I was just spoiled with the convience of having a grocery store less then 1/4 of a mile from my home that took me 2 mins to get to, now (esp. with the gas prices) I have to drive 5miles or more to get to a store and it takes me about 15 minutes because of the traffic and red lights. Just saying. WISH SOMEONE W
  23. First we had a Publix and I loved it but it moved away. We also had a Kroger and now it is gone. We only have Walmart and Target now to buy groceries. Why can't we have another grocery store back. I have to drive into Dallas now to find a grocery store that sells decent meat and vegetables. I refuse to buy from Target or Walmart because the quality is no where near as good asjust a grocery stores are. anyone else have a problem with this. Just interested to know if it's just me.
