  3. Casey Anthony has filed for bankruptcy protection in Florida. The 26-year-old, who has been in hiding since she was acquitted 18 months ago of murdering her daughter, is seeking relief from a mountain of legal fees, penalties and back taxes. Anthony filed the motion Friday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. According to the filing, which was obtained by The Associated Press, Anthony has $1,084 in the bank and owes nearly $800,000. Casey Anthony Files for Bankruptcy I can't really say that I'm surprised. But Wait a minute, wasn't she suppose to get all sorts of offers for tv interviews and

  5. Yep, sure is. Restaurants don't stop selling beer just because it's Sunday. But it cost a lot cheaper to go make yourself a margarita at home than it does to order one at your local Mexican cantina.
  6. I've read about these "gun buy back programs" and that the majority of the guns that are brought in are usually stolen. They don't check the serial numbers to verify in their databases whether they are or not, therefore the guy that brings them in never gets charged with anything. All the guns are just thrown In a pile to be destroyed. Also, given the current situation, anybody could easily sell their gun right now for a 50% mark up of what they originally paid for it, being there is extremely high demand in the firearms industry. Either way you look at it, this program is just plain stupi

  10. In all fairness the OP did warn us that it wouldn't suit younger kids anyway. As long as its not for kids, I think most people on here would go. Then again I could be wrong.
  11. My friend had a similar situation. Her and her husband rent the house they are currently living in. Apparently the landlord had been pocketing their rent payments and not been making the mortgage payments for months. The house went under foreclosure and they had no idea until, to their surprise, a foreclosure notice came in their mailbox. After the bank got the house, they have agreed to continue to let them live there until their lease runs out. I suggest checking out the laws on tenant rights and what happens in this type of situation.
