You mean someone lied on the Internet! Oh Lord. pubby

They are not stupid and many of them were active participants in the propaganda that created the current circumstance. The sad part is that many of those who were activity involved should have been smart enough to parse the information out there and recognize that the hyperbole that was spewed was simply either largely or totally untrue. The founder of the Republican Party, Abraham Lincoln, famously said "You can fool some of the people all the time, all the people some of the time but you can't fool all the people all the time." Proof of that is the fact that over 140,000 Yugo's were so

Just got a call from my wife saying she has been stuck in traffic coming south from Dallas from an apparent accident at PCHS. She observed a couple of ambulances going to the scene and traffic is blocked to one lane with officers directing traffic to let both north and south bound lanes alternate. It is not certain that there were injuries. Traffic is backed up into Dallas over the railroad bridge, she said. The accident was not at the intersection at the high school but at the south-side of the property in the dip at the bottom of the hill. There is glass over the road, one car m

PCSO Crestbend Lane victim was not victim of random shooting
gpatt0n replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
I wouldn't suggest that Christopher Robin. More like a melee in which the guys that brought the guns shot and killed the victim who may or may not have had a weapon himself (It was his home, after all). All the detectives were saying was that regular Paulding residents ought not be so spooked by this incident that they should consider everyone who comes to their door they don't know to be a shooter ... and drop them in the drive way. There is a likelihood that the assailants were known to the victim ... either that or they were sent there on a mission by a third party - which was your i -
PCSO Crestbend Lane victim was not victim of random shooting
gpatt0n posted a topic in Fastread page
Crestbend Lane victim was not victim of random shooting The PCSO, in a release sent early this afternoon, confirmed that the as yet unnamed victim of the shooting at to 553 Crestbend Lane Powder Springs, GA was specifically targeted by those who committed the murder. The shooting occurred after an altercation between the victim and an unknown number of assailants. Investigators, including those from the PCSO and Georgia Bureau of Investigation determined that several shots had been fired and the victim sustained at least one fatal wound. The 34 year old black man was uncons -
I'm close to you on this ... although I agree with jenilyn. The reason for the racist remarks was the theatrical aspects. But as jenilyn said, the reason this person was chosen was his disability. Hence theatrically, the post as a racist rant but as to the particulars, the victim/target was just chosen because of his inability to stand up for himself. Often, and I think this is more common than most believe, those who express racism, sexism, etc. are in their heart bullies and bullies pick on those whom they believe they can bully. I.e. the actual problem was that this kid got the clu

mshoward: You should be careful what you ask for as you may get it. If it is against journalistic ethics to report on false statements, i.e. even mention them, then about 75 percent of what Donald Trump utters would have to be silenced and subject to ridicule. That wouldn't include the retweets of things from real 'nazi/skinhead/white nationalist' sites which are among the criticisms everyone should level at the alt-right idiots now headed for the white house. pubby

RIP K-9 Grip (2004-2017) The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office mourns the loss of K-9 Grep who passed away on Friday January 6, 2017. K-9 Grep, who was nearly 14 years old, began his service with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in December 2004 and retired in October 2013. there is a fair chance that it is 'stock footage' ... video editors for programs, even reality programs, need video to cover/illustrate the words and if they don't have it from the shoot and, since they are a profit-motivated bunch, the idea of sending someone out at a cost of a $1,000-$5000 for the field work, the $50 stock footage bit is attractive. After all, few would know and fewer would care and, BTW, where would they talk about it??? pubby

To Amazon, in particular, wireless service that resells another network's network, is just another product for them. That they can bundle with their multi-faceted prime service as an incentive is their thrust. Why buy from a standalone network a service for $80/mo. when you can get it in a bundle of services for $99/mo. Facebook's advantage is that they sift and analyze every keystroke (and from where) of every visit/entry and can pretty much identify who is happy and who is not with their wireless service. If you are the least bit pissed at AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint, they'l

I just heard he had visited the police in Alaska where he lived and told them he was hearing voices pumped to him from the CIA telling him to kill and they shipped him off to the psychiatric hospital. Of course being nuts is not a reason to restrict gun ownership in Alaska so he had weaponry ... and did what was said before - i.e. landed, when to baggage claim, pulled his gun from his bag and began shooting folks. The point being he had the gun legally and they didn't remove them after his 'episode' as I figure the law in Alaska doesn't allow that. I understand his momma said he wasn'

You mean California Democrats made the law this way so 16 year old girls and guys could entrap wealthy old republicans who sought to victimize them by extorting money from them? That's silly because, while they may not be prosecuted for prostitution, the youths in that scenario certainly could be prosecuted for extortion, which in my book is a infinitely more serious crime. I.e. there is no 'walking away' from an entrapment scenario ... and besides, the old fart ought not go around doing this crap. I don't care if the old fart Republican is a billionaire reality TV host who can grab the

But isn't it soooo delicious to slam the liberals in California by framing the issue the way they did I mean, if you can lie about the motives this glibly on this subject, think how distorted you can be in areas like health care, education, energy, etc. Yep, you can so confuse folks they'll vote for any dummy who is incapable in speaking a coherent thought that comprises more than 144 characters (a tweet). pubby

Rocky's mom: Champsbbcoach hasn't thought through the issue and like most conservatives, fails to recognize that the clients of these 11-12 and 13 year old girls and boys are typically men with money who use their money to victimize these kids and insulate themselves from severe prosecution by smearing their victims with criminal charges that make it easy for them to get off. What CBBC doesn't grasp is that the law now could portray the 11-year old sex worker as a victim in a statutory rape charge against the john and put his butt away. I suspect the law includes some hefty fines (in

It can be zoned commercial but there are restrictions such as no gun shops or places that routinely have guns for security (banks), no restaurants that server alcohol, ditto grocery stores. You could put a thrift store in. Homes that are close to schools generally are higher-valued than those that are more remote. pubby
