Actually this is a great idea. The greatest practical problem with it is how parts for products are manufactured and the plans manufacturers have for distribution and support for the repair of the goods they make. Many manufacturers have adopted the concept of planned obsolescence and, in part by limiting availability of replacement parts forcing the retirement of the product. Fortunately, the advances in 3-d computer printing and other advances could provide an answer to the replacement parts issue. The good news is the economics of this, however, are what people seemed to be wishi

Considering that Steve Bannon sold his world-view of the real war in the world today as a fight against Global Islam - in other words a religious war - and that realism of the White People of the world against the brown Muslims justifies Trump's coddling Russia and Putin - has got to be pissed at Trump's new National Security Advisor, Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster. Indeed, McMasters is departure not just from Trump's and Bannon's belief that the reality is a religious war, but also his predecessor Michael Flynn - who was fired because he got caught in a lie. From Newsmax: What this, of cou

Conservative provocateur targets CNN with secret recordings
gpatt0n replied to Jamie Weaver's topic in RECENT TOPICS
All this is from 2009??? ... and he is just now releasing them? Actually, I think we can deduce that someone, back in 2009, recorded the 120 hours of banter and BS that does go on in a news room setting. I suspect the person doing the recording did it surreptitiously and the project was probably imagined as deep research for a hopeful screen writer or novelist who found themselves hacking away in a desk job at CNN. Having gotten out of that biz (or maybe they are still in it) they happened to find themselves talking with O'Keefe. I suspect they made the tapes to be more revealing t -

Don't panic, The truth about population : is an uplifting view
gpatt0n replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Actually, the 'educated' Brits in the video were totally wrong, predicting that in 2012 or so, the average number of children being born to a family was about 5 ... only one in ten were correct that 2 children per family was the reality. The idea of the population bomb, which all my age were taught, were based on the pessimistic 1969 Club of Rome report which asserted that the human population was exploding exponentially and with a certain end being the "Malthusian" scenario. The dramatic change is likely to result in a sustainable level of human population in the neighborhood of 10 bi -

I'm beginning to think the spate of 'loud explosions' we hear in Paulding are due to the use of tannerite targets. Below are some videos of 'tannerite' explosions. Tannerite is legal and you can probably buy it at an outdoor sports place or maybe even tractor supply. above: A rare 5speed 6 cylinder 1979 Ford Bronco gets blown to bits with probably 10 pounds of the stuff. “Liberté, Egalité, Actualité” Remember when cable news was news and it covered theworld. Well, here is an example of a news channel that is morenews and less opinion ... and it covers the world from aunique perspective that is devoid of the partisanone-upmanship we get with domestic versions. It is France24 and it is one of three channels streamedby the Paris-based public television entity France MédiasMonde. Here is the link to the wiki for the effort whichbegan in 2006 to present news worldwide as an alternativeto CNN, BBC and Al Jazzera. This is actually a good news station fo

Steve Bannon Cited Italian Thinker Who Inspired Fascists
gpatt0n replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
A couple of things here. You use the term right-wing Republicans as if there were such a thing as left-wing Republicans? Second, one of the key tasks in the short term is to recognize that there are people who identify as Republicans who, if we are to avoid Steve Bannon's vision of a chaotic world on the brink of collapse; we need at least five or six Republican Senators and a few more than two-dozen Republican Congressmen to stand for the existing world order. Seriously, the best way out of this calamity is to recognize that Hillary was right about one thing ... we are stronger toge -
This article was in the news columns of the NYTimes under the heading European news. Seems these folks - particularly the Italians where fascism was born - know more about that governing concept. To say these folks are spooked by the Trump administration's choice of advisors, is an understatement. From the article in the NYTimes: These people are dangerous to not just our democracy, but to the enlightenment. They believe we should all live in monasteries and bow to them because they are the kings and the source of all human wisdom and knowledge. Bullcheeze. They are

Totally disagree. The Patriots are a very, very good team; possibly the best in the history of the game. There was a mistake; a coaching play call mistake when they were in the field goal territory late in the game. Why they wouldn't play for the points and give them a two-score lead is the problem. Instead they called a pass and he was sacked for a loss that put them out of range. That was a fatal mistake for their ambitions. But they were ambitious. pubby

A , being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. The second amendment didn't say, "an unregulated militia" it said a well regulated Militia. Constitutional carry, as I interpret it, involves the unregulated right to carry as officers (at least in Georgia) are prohibited from asking those carrying - either concealed or open - for their carry permits. Beyond that, regulation is subject to wide differences of opinion. In a country where self-governance is the norm, the variance in opinion is expected and emb
