I guess we have our avoidance of the local razorwire hotel in common. My family life was a bit different; my mother was a Republican in the South in the 1960s while my father was a Democrat and both were in the health care industry; meaning basically they cared for people. Obviously, it has been decades since you read the definition of youth in any dictionary. While dictionaries don't typically state ages - the numeric age that defines youth is too arbitrary - they speak of the time between adolescence and maturity; which varies for most folks.
