  1. I was married 6 years the first time. My wife was married for 12 years the first time, so this is the 2nd time for both of us. It's been 28 years this year and still going strong. I thought you were going to say, who is still with your first love? Then I would say, Yes.
  2. It's people like that who make me wish I had my grandson's paint ball gun in the car with me so that I could mark the car and make it easier to identify for the popo.
  3. I have the french drains from my house dumping into a drain box along with the downspouts and then in routed underneath my newly poured driveway to the creek. Now all of the water coming from the house french drains and downspouts no longer covers my driveway with water everytime it drains. The new drains work really well and that pipe dumping into the creek empties water a long after it has quit raining. At least the water is going into the creek instead of going into my basement.
  4. Did you see the guy making a left turn at the East West Connector onto Powder Spring Road? He was using a hand signal for a left hand turn. He came too close to the truck on Powder Springs road and smashed the truck with his arm, tearing his arm loose at his shoulder! The driver next too the truck had the presense of mind to pick up the guy's arm and race over to the hospital. Apparently the Cobb County police didn't like him speeding on the East West Connection, and not only gave him a ticket for speeding. but arrested him for... ARM ROBBERY!

  7. I bet they arrest him for having an unauthorized firearm.
  8. Rubbing a dryer sheet on your dog works wonders too!
  9. Sounds like it would be a good "Make up for Snow" School Day.
  10. Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags. Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. After you feel confi
  11. Obama is going to have people move immediately from the frozen northern areas closer to the equater to make the earth spin faster to make up for the lost time.
  12. A good example of another government run business. Keeps raising its fees (postage stamps, etc) and keeps loosing money. You know what, they ought to run health care too! I think they should just deliver mail only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They could work a short staff on Saturdays for a half day just for the office locations with no mail delivery. They might be able to maintain that for a year or two before going bankrupt.... again.
  13. Let's see. Unemployment check of $330 - that's $660. Honey, we're going out to eat!
  14. So what day would you want you kids to have to use make up the snow day if they cancel school tomorrow? A ) Saturday, March 13 B ) The first day of Spring Break C ) Memorial Day (Monday) As far as Government employees not starting until 10AM, it's probably a smart idea. Think of the taxpayer money that would be saved since no one will probably be going to the courthouse early tomorrow morning anyway.
  15. Maybe she should have tied the leash to her back bumper. Then she wouldn't have been able to run the dog over.
  16. Of course, according the latest tips for resume writing you should NOT list employment that far back. Since I started work in 1976 and stayed with that job over 9 years I fought hard against not putting that on my resume but I kept getting told that I should list no more than 20 years of employment (and 20 years was the max). You can always talk about that other experience during the interview if its relevant.
  17. We have an A__ in our neighborhood who rides down our streets on a 4 wheeler with his dogs on leashes. Not only is it a stupid thing to do, it's also illegal for him to be riding his 4 wheeler on city streets. And no helmet either.
  18. Now I would love to see some folks pile into a pickup truck and make up a bunch of snowballs. Then have them drive by the Statue of Liberty and then bombard her. :-) Take LPPT along so she can video tape it.
  19. I think the point here is if Congress wants to approve those extensions then they have to come up with a way to pay for it. At some point Congress has to stop bleeding red ink.
  20. One of ther best ones I went to was for a doctor and his wife had preped the stripper really well. She showed up to bust the party and tell his wife about an affair they had supposedly been having for years. He was "no honey, I never". But this girl knew a lot of stuff that only he (and his wife) would know and it blew him away. Then after 5-10 minutes of this she went to her car to bring her some "evidence" and that's when she came back in with a boom box and feather boa. Lot of fun that night!
  21. I told the wife she might get a couple of inches on Tuesday. She said "So, what else is new?"
  22. It sounds like someone broke the rules. Supposedly this whale was sold from a British Columbia park after he killed someone there. The agreement with Seaworld, when they bought him, was that he was to be used for breeding purposes only and was never to be used in performance or before the public. Sounds like someone forgot? Sounds like he was pretty good in the breeding area, as he has fathered 13 calves.
  23. Brings back memories of the phrase.... "Made in Japan".
  24. In Pigeon Forge there is a place where you can do Indoor Skydiving. It's a lot of fun and very places offer that opportunity. If you decide to go to Dixie Stampede for the food and the show, make sure to make your reservations a day or so in advance to get the times you want.
