HOW TO GET A BAT OUT OF THE HOUSE?
Georgia Dawg replied to Taylor's P.A.L.S.'s topic in RECENT TOPICS
Turn on a bunch of bright lights and leave them on until he's gone? I know they don't like heat. I did not realize it but I had a bunch of bats in the attic space over a porch with their opening just over where I decided to park my gas grill. This was at our cabin up in Blue Ridge. When I fired up the grill for the first time to pre-heat it, I noticed after a few minutes that something flew down from the ceiling of the porch and went out into the yard. Then there are another. Then one after another. There must have been close to a hundred bats in the attic space over the porch. You might t -
Front Loading Washing Machine Owners I Has Question
Georgia Dawg replied to Constance's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We bought out LG set a little over 2 years ago. We leave the washer door open occasionally, after washing but we normally close it. We have used nothing but the HE detergent and we don't use a lot of it either. When the clothes are done in the washer there are almost dry because it uses so much less water and the spinning is so much faster. -
There's the Antique shop in downtown Hiram that might take it on consignment.

I hope Angels Eyes needs a cop at some point in the future and Karma makes it around for a visit. -
Because it say it's a REPUBLICAN PARTY QUESTION. On the Democratic ballot there would be DEMOCRATIC PARTY QUESTIONS.

I'm done with NBC and the Today show. Now they've brought on Al Sharpton to give him platform to talk about how the cop was wrong. -
We went to the Olive Garden place in Douglasville and the food was awful. My meal was way overcooked. The waitress brought it out anyway and I had to run her down to get her to have the kitchen redo it. She just kept saying that the kitchen has been ruining the food lately. If the waitresses know that you would think that the manager would have picked up on it. We won't be going back there either.

Do you ever think about your end of days?
Georgia Dawg replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The life we live here on earth is nothing more than a speck when compared to eternity. However, the choice we make here will decide how we live that eternity. God does not do that to someone. We do that to ourselves. God gave man free will - we make the choice. It's not about what we think. That's the difference between head salvation and heart salvation. My father was a good man and it took him 70 years before he accepted Christ into his life. He did not think God would condemn him to hell because he was a good man and did good deeds. I'm glad he finally heard that quiet voice of conviction o -
Dept. Store in Hiram Checking IDs on all CC Purchases
Georgia Dawg replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
One problem is that they need to change the procedure for identification verification. I'm not talking about the picture physically being on the card but the picture being digitally encoded in the magnetic strip. That way when you swipe your card the picture would then pop up on the clerks machine. Before the clerk would be able to proceed they would have to type in their employee ID verifying that they have compared the picture to the person presenting the card. If the card holder is not the person and the clerk doesn't make note of it, then they should make the clerk responsible for a portio -
I thought this was fitting with the power outage in downtown Dallas today.

There's going to be a rude awakening for some people after they pass on... -
A little old lady answered a knock on the door one day, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner. 'Good morning,' said the young man. 'If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners.' 'Go away!' said the old lady. 'I'm broke and haven't got any money!' and she proceeded to close the door. Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed it wide open. 'Don't be too hasty!' he said. 'Not until you have at least seen my demonstration.' An

I don't leave the signature space blank on the back of my cards. I write "SEE ID" in big letters so that it can't be signed. Most of the time they never check the back even if you hand the card to the clerk. I've thought about putting something else on the back of my card like "ASK FOR MY ID AND I'LL GIVE YOU ONE DOLLAR" just to see if it makes a difference. -

I'm glad it's not our thoughts that determine whether we will go to heaven or hell, but our faith in Jesus Christ and his payment on the cross for our sins. -

I wish every credit card had your picture embedded in the magnetic strip so that when you or the clerk scans the card the picture of the card owner would display and the clerk could verify the picture to the person making the purchase. -
"Clean up on Aisle 4!" ============================================= Cop comes up to the first parked car and says "What are y'all doin' in there?" The young lady says "Officer, We're doing the 'Twist'" Cop comes up to the second parked car and says "What are y'all doin' in there?" That young lady says "Officer, We're doing the 'Hot Potato'" Cop comes up to the next parked car and says "Let me guess. Y'all are doing the 'Bosanova', right?" The young lady says "No officer, I'm doing the 'Boss a favor'"

Sometimes when the water pressure gets low or the pump seems to run all of the time, your tank is, what they used to call, 'water logged'. The old tanks and new tanks are the same in one respect - both need captured air in the tank to run. The old tanks didn't have a bladder and the tank would get full of water with no head space of air to pressure your water lines. You'll need to drain your tank and then let it fill back up to pressure your system. If it doesn't pressure up then you might have a leak at the top of your tank. The newer tanks have a bladder instead so the water never touches th

Pretty much all of the Florida beaches from Destin eastward to Panama City Beach, Mexico Beach, Cape San Blas, and Port St. Joe are clear. Will post if that changes. There are crews that are staging from Port St. Joe and Panama City marina to go out and work on the spill. Perhaps that's where the confusion arose from.
