I was donating items at St. Vincent de Paul in Dallas last year and while I was there a truck was delivering brand new mattresses. They came in on a truck from Atlanta but I can't remember what kind they were but they looked really nice. They had all sizes and were priced lower than any I've ever seen in a store including membership stores. The lady there said they sell out very fast so you may want to call first if you're interested.

The best place to report this scam is with the Federal Trade Commission - There's a lot of good info regarding scams, identity theft, etc. on the FTC website as well.

There's also a website called lostandfound.com where you can register items. Good luck! Hope you find it!

Oh how I wish you'd open a restaurant! Bet the line would be out the door!

I have a wonderful recipe for chicken salad. A lady I used to work with made it for every office event and it's the best I've ever tasted. Not sure how canned chicken would affect the taste. I've always use fresh chicken breasts, baked or boiled -- but baked is best. Here it is in case you want to try it: 4 chicken breasts, cooked and cut into very small pieces 3 tbsp. onion, chopped extremely fine 1/2 cup celery, chopped fine 1/2 cup lemon yogurt 1/3 cup mayonnaise 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard 1/2 tsp. celery salt Salt and pepper to taste I hope you enjoy it if you decide to t

There are a few consignment sales that I know of in March: March 5-7 Twice Blessed at McEachern UMC in Powder Springs (huge sale), Heavenly Hand-Me-Downs at Dallas First UMC on March 13 & 14, and My Kidz Closet at Community Fellowship Church March 19-21. Good luck!

I believe it's going to be a new county park. I read about the plans in one of the papers a little over a year ago. It was originally supposed to be completed by fall 2014.

Their Pcom name is "surepip." He's the one who posts all those wonderful recipes and cooking tips. I don't know them either, but I sure enjoy his posts and envy his cooking skills!

How about Pike Nurseries? I saw their work at a neighborhood entrance and it looked beautiful. In fact, I see them there a couple of times a year changing out some of the plants. Good luck! -

surepip, I enjoy your dinner threads and glad you're back. We don't know each other but I have read you were ill and hope you're feeling better. Now...where in the world did you learn to cook like that???!!! Sure wish I had such talent in the kitchen! -
Thank you for posting that info, Mrs. G. Yes, it is true you do have to pre-register, but (at least in my experience), not quite that far in advance. For a current sale (starting today), I was able to pre-register and receive a seller number in one day, just a week or so before the sale. (I had procrastinated up until the last minute!) Many of the sales have become automated over the last few years and it's much easier to register and enter your items online.

Adult clothes or children's clothes? Asking because there are several kids' consignment sales coming up (soon!) and you'll get more for your items there as opposed to selling with a shop.

Hated it. Wasted a perfectly good date night on it, too. And my husband fell asleep during it!!!

Start with the Marshall's office - I believe that's who handles things like that.

Just an FYI that after the Tin Roof closed, the servers and chef went over to the "Chat & Choo" across the tracks. If I remember correctly, the menu was almost identical to the old Tin Roof menu and the food was the same - WONDERFUL! (I almost cried when we discovered the Tin Rood had closed one Saturday morning when we decided to go there for breakfast, but my husband suggested we check out across the street to see if anything was open for breakfast. We did, and that's when we discovered Chat & Choo.)

Dr. Bickford or Dr. Shirley (Distinctive Dentistry in Dallas). Both of them are wonderful.

Sand & Stone on 78 Hwy in Douglasville would most likely have any kind you want.

Unless someone wants to give him a blanket for when he has to sleep on the couch.

In a couple of weeks (March 13-15) there are at least three consignment sales that I know of: mykidzcloset (Paulding sale), 2nd Helpings (Hope Church), and Twice Blessed (McEachern UMC). You could probably find some really good deals on maternity clothes then! Good luck!

Just go to their FB pages and request to join. Once you are a member, be sure to read their rules before you start selling. Good luck!

If you're on Facebook there are a couple of local yard sale pages. One is Bentwater/Seven Hills and the other is Paulding County Online Yard Sale. I may not have those exactly correct but if you search that on FB you should see them. I believe you'll have to request to join and then you can post your items. I've had good luck selling on there. Good luck to you!

Just curious...Is there a FB page with updates, LadybugLove? (I have to pick someone up when the game is over and I won't know when it's over!) Thank you! -
A type of bud vase - excellent for a single picked flower or two because the little spikes hold the flower(s) up.
