All the Dyson vacs seem so bulky. I'd have a hard time vacuuming under a lot of my furniture. But I LOVE my robot vac! They work really well, too. Sam's carries one now for less than $300. Nothing better than watching that thing vacuum for you!

How about Redneck Caviar? Maybe someone on here has the exact recipe, but if I remember correctly it's just blackeyed peas, whole kernel corn, black beans, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes (drain if using canned), chopped fresh cilantro and Zesty Italian dressing. It's good! Serve with tortilla chips.

Oh goodness, then you know exactly where I'm coming from!

Didn't think about Shutterfly. I've done a photo book on there before and loved the outcome. Thanks!

Oh, I know you're probably right, NC-17...they're probably just gonna toss it and wonder why I ever kept it in the first place! Now this is a good idea! And I know -- the word "hoarder" has been haunting me lately. Thanks, Mei Lan. I'll check out these sites!

I am finding myself buried in all kinds of school work, papers, drawings, etc. that I can't bring myself to throw away. Any good organizing/storing tips out there? Help, please! I have bags and boxes just full of the stuff. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oooh, cream of chicken sounds good! I'll have to give that one a try!!!

Yes, the sour cream just makes the dip a little creamier. My recipe is doubled for a large crowd. Definitely try sausage next time - I think it makes the dip more flavorful. I hope you like it!
-
My original recipe (20+ years ago) also called for ground beef. Not sure where along the way sausage took the place of ground beef, but it certainly makes it tastier!

Here's mine...made it just tonight! 2 lb Velveeta - cut into chunks for easier melting 2 cans Rotel (hot or original depending upon your taste) 1 lb breakfast sausage (hot or mild - depends on taste...*note* if you use hot sausage and hot Rotel you will end up with a SUPER hot dip!) 1 8 oz container sour cream Cook sausage, drain fat. Melt cheese (in microwave or on stovetop on low heat). Add remainder of ingredients and heat thoroughly. (This keeps well on low/warm setting of slow cooker on game day.) ENJOY! Forgot to say this should feed your 10. And it is awesome.

Have you been there recently? I was there this past weekend and it was really, really wonderful.

He's been around the area over a year doing this (and in Powder Springs). I feel sorry for him and hope he won't have to do this forever! It's cold out there!!!

Pappadeaux on Windy Hill Road in Marietta.

Ryan's has a big room separate from the main dining area.

2 lbs Velveeta, cut into chunks for faster melting 2 cans Rotel (which kind depends on your taste - hot will make this dip HOT!) 1 lb breakfast sausage (same as above) 1 8 oz container sour cream 1 small jar picante sauce Cook sausage, drain fat. Melt Velveeta on low heat on stovetop or in microwave. Add the rest of the ingrediets to the melted cheese and stir well. Heat thoroughly(this dip is great kept warm in a slow cooker after you're done). Serve with Tostitos or your favorite tortilla chips. This is always a hit!

Question about cooking pintos..................
lbarke replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If you're cooking dried beans you should soak them overnight. I'm not sure about the ham hock - I'd probably try it first with just one and see how they turn out. Good luck! -
What items do you wished you had on hand when baby came home?

Some homemade, pre-prepared meals in the freezer. -
Thanks LPPT! So did I put it in the right place by posting it in the "Got the Goods overflow" forum? If not, I apologize!
-
Thanks, NC-17! I appreciate your help!!! Well dang it. It told me I couldn't post there. Oh well. Hey, know anybody that wants a pink Barbie jeep???
-
will do - thanks! Oh that's what I meant -- "Recent Topics" -- see how much I DON'T know? It let me post on the Got the Goods overflow page -- or at least I think it did. I'm not so sure!
-
Well that must be it...I'm not a paying member. Thanks so much for your reply.

I posted something for sale in the "Got the Goods Overflow" forum this morning. Does it only show up there or can I make it so that it shows up on the Fastread page? I see other forums listed on the Fastread page where people have posted recently. I hardly ever post, usually just reply to posts so I'M SURE it's something I didn't do right. Help?

Good luck to you! I felt so much better when I was walking -- need to start up again!

I tried these last year. Not sure if it was just the RK's or a combination of things. Got desperate to shed a few pounds, so here's what I did after watching a Dr. O show (I'm not a regular viewer but I thought "Why not?!"): 1. I changed my breakfast (most days) to a whole wheat muffin, egg (can't poach an egg so just fried one), a slice of swiss, a few slices of avacado and a slice of tomato. Sounded yucky until I tried it, but it was actually pretty darn good! The best thing was that it kept me full for HOURS. 2. I walked about 3 times a week at a good brisk pace for 30 minutes -
