probably not enough death, destruction, or red-necks being red-necks for the Atlanta stations to want to come out this way.

Dabbs Bridge Freeway now the Dabbs Bridge Raceway?
FreeBird replied to The Sound Guy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
After numerous fatalities on this road in the 11 years I have lived here it is amazing that the speed limit was raised. I used to see (and hear) the SO out here a lot. Those days are gone. I guess all we can do is call the GSP (Post 3 in Cartersville, 770-387-4056) and the SO (traffic enforcement request: http://paulding.gov/forms.aspx?FID=45) every time someone passes on the double yellow or drives aggressively.. -
South Paulding Graduation, Deputy Schlelcher

I suggest you write the Sheriff too. Sheriff Gary Gulledge Paulding County Sheriff’s Office 247 Industrial Way North Dallas, GA 30132 I enjoy listening to the radio and always caught an officer, Ken Newborn, "just doing his job" by stopping to help numerous people on the road. One instance in particular prompted me to write then Sheriff Harris regarding the officers actions. I'll share some of it here as I think we need to always appreciate the service these men and women provide for us everyday. On Friday September 7th around 10:15AM, I picked up on a call by u -

Commission mulls one-mill increase for Fire Tax
FreeBird replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Okay - I watched report - the funding will max out at 5 vs. the current 2 mils today. I see that in the headline report too. I love the way Tommie Graham can confuse an issue. He always seems to just want to talk to try to impress the other commissioners as it is an easy thing to do. I wonder if that guy every figured out how three fire truck units can fit in a 2 bay fire station? It will be interesting to see if the current members vote for an increase during an election year. Pubby - thanks for providing these types of reports. -
I just wonder if the pool company would hire anyone that says "yes - I have been arrested for a crime...." I'm hoping they would not as these are positions with close contact with the children and families of the Bentwater community.

Commission mulls one-mill increase for Fire Tax
FreeBird replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Have not had the chance to view the report - but I will. Seems the max was 2 mils towards public safety. And I thought it went in at he max of 2 mils which leads me to believe there is no room for increase? -
isn't this more of a reflection of the pool company than the student that made poor choices and is now taking care of them?

Anyone found the CO2/carbonators available locally? Most of the places I've found that carry supplies do not carry the carbonators.

sorry to hear

yes - I prefer a male. Have to get one every year due to my involvment with scouting.

I don't think being Jewish would have anything to do this as there are Jewish people that are Christians and would follow the NT. Maybe the question should be does she follow Judaism? I think at one time she did but now she does not.

But isn't Dr. Laura Jewish?

While I feel that Heath has got to go I fear that the two challengers may split the vote and give heath the chance to run again. In the primary, is it most votes wins or does the winner have to take 50.00001% of the vote?

are you close to the silver comet trail?

Hard to believe he was 83. But, I've been watching the show 35 years..... I guess time catches up with all of us. Thanks for all the laughs Goober.

made a visit to Hiram last night and stopped by. they do have good prices on many items that I price shop on. Hope they accept competitor's coupons. then went across the road and had a steak at Texas Roadhouse with wife and #2 son. #1 son is off at OA ordeal weekend for scouts and will be mad that we ditched him for a big night out on the town in Hiram!

I am glad that the rangers and the Marshal took the time compare notes and to write this guy up. While those offenses may seem trivial to some, dedication to the law keeps our county being a great place to live. Thanks for posting - interesting reading of the DNR's activities.

my wife almost did not get on the ship because we did not have the correct BC - she went without a passport. To apply for a passport you are required to provide a certified BC - same for using a BC to get on the ship. Also consider the type of passport you are going to apply for - book or card based on the type of travel you may do in the future.

wow - add that to all the tequila that will be flowing....

just remember that 3 years ago (4 months into the O-clown's reign) gas was $2.06 a gallon. That is where my change I can believe in went. Just giving the numbers from: http://news.consumerreports.org/cars/2009/04/average-gas-prices-april-20-2009.html

yet... "Today’s report also showed that Americans were more pessimistic about their finances than in March. Views on finances weakened across all income groups, with 28 percent saying they were improved, down from 34 percent who said so last month." I guess things are getting better - just not for most of us....

I did ask the future owner/operator of the McDonalds this morning and she confirmed that she is opening a new store on this site. Don't now about all the other speculation from new Harley bar to strip joint. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
