  1. Who is your post commissioner? If the problem is you have no water for the FD in your area, then I would most certainly write the Chairman, your post commissioner, the fire department chief, and head of water department. Send it certified if you want to cover yourself. Put the county on notice that the area is not properly prepared for a fire. If there is a fire, then you are setting yourself up to be in a position to sue the county if the FD did not have access to water to properly fight the fire. As point of reference, I emailed my post commissioner regarding an issue one evening, an
  2. When I thought one was bad and leaking, I called the water department and they came and checked it out. If you want to find out the last time it was serviced, or something like that, I would call the main FD office.

  5. The house next to me has been through two "Jefferson conversions" in the past 4 years. I call it this because the "Jefferson's" hit it big and move on up only to just walk away when they don't feel they should be paying as much for the property as they agreed to (since prices fell.) It has been sold again to a young guy that moved on up. He took off two weeks ago to go to Army basic training. Just left the yard and the weeds..... So, don't feel bad and you are not alone.

  8. I heard no radio traffic on this so I don't now about injuries. Could be a fatality based on the damage I saw. Flipped numerous times as it headed down the hill. Just missed a telephone pole that ripped a van open like a can opener a few years ago.
  9. Best I could tell just one person involved. But, Clark could have already left with others.
  10. With the new job that I have scanner listening time has been non-existent. Drove past this one and wanted to post it as a log of how dangerous Dabbs Bridge Road is. PDOT widened it 2-3 feet in the mid 2000s. Had that not happened there may have been more accidents such as this. Rescue 11, engine 6, two SO units, one of the Battalion commanders, GSP 283, and a Clark unit all responded to a what looked like a white SUV, possibly a Chevy/GMC overturned near DBR and Lead Mountain road. I know of at least one other similar accident at this very site. My guess is speed, distraction, going
  11. I guess the answer is to just throw more money at the problem?
  12. what a minute - maybe I have this one figured out. On Sunday when he does the ironing is there a race or game on the TV?
  13. I work from home and do 1-2 loads per day. It makes sense to pull from dryer and fold to get maximum effect and not have to iron as much. I sort (shorts with shorts, socks with socks, etc.) and deliver to my wife and two son's dressers where they are responsible for putting up or hanging. Only takes a few minutes to fold after I pull from the dryer. I thinking the OP's husband/slave/total package is doing himself a disservice by not perfecting the fold and go method. Would recommend additional training. Freebird (aka total package)
  14. Another causality of the Obuma economy. I guess not a lot folks have money for nice things like the theater.
