I still listen to the scanner - just rarely post anymore. If I hear a road closure/MVA type or other interesting info I'll normally try and post it. My last post in that forum was 7/27/12 so it is getting used more often than once per year.

the scanner forum was in the "turn me on" section for 7 or so years until sometime recently it was moved to the general county news section where you would see the posts without "turning on" the forum. It is now moved to the archive section noted above. Check your own link and there is no scanner forum in it.

If you have autocad another issue to consider is that you are probably going to have to upgrade from a Win2000/XP version to 64-bit windows. I think that can be pricy. Want to go with a lot of ram and quad core processor.

After further research and input from comcast support, I purchased a compatible modem, Arris TM722g, from a dealer on ebay for $99 shipped. It arrived quickly and this morning I called support to get it provisioned. Spoke with an agent located in the Philippines who had a very good accent and spoke excellent English (I had no trouble understanding her.) I connected the new modem to a second cable outlet while the agent provisioned and updated firmware on it. That took about 15 minutes. She then transferred the voice service from the old unit to the new which required my hanging up. M

I'd suggest Precor IGR (growth inhibitor which will take care of new fleas that are "in the works") as well as an insecticide (something with permethrin in it) that will kill adult fleas.
